One more week and I should be living in the new house. My concrete floors are being stained tomorrow and sealed to a glossy finish on Wednesday. The electrical work is almost done - just a few things like installing the data, telephone and cable jacks remain. I hope to paint Thursday and Friday, and move in during the weekend.

I can't wait to set up my stereo. I got a new Quadraspire stand for all my Linn gear, and had the electrician put in an isolated circuit. I'm curious how it's going to sound with the concrete floors.

Just make sure not to spike your speakers. I'd recommend putting a rug between your speakers and your listening spot. When I had a bigger room for my stereo at my old apartment, this really helped. I had hardwood floors, not cement, but it's still reflective.
