Yeah, my father was stationed on a ship for months at a time when I was a kid. I remember one time, he left clean shaven, and when he came home, he had a beard! Myself and my brothers didn't recognize him and we ran right past him they had docked. lol It seemed like a natural thing for Arizona to worry about.

Aw cute! I like the way Sofia instinctively walked towards Arizona when she was upset. Also, I like the fact that you picked up on the idea that Callie wants to mentor Meredith by coming into the hospital at 4am every day - crazy!

I hope your writers block passes soon. Writers block sucks!

Yeah, 4am every morning is insane, especially considering their schedules! Which is why I thought this would work out well. Then tie in a bit about Arizona's past, which we never get to say, so I make it up. lol

I think Arizona's insecurities are always there, she just hides them better than most. I think that's why I enjoy showing them in my writing and showing how Callie, and now Sofia, help her cope.
