What's your confirmation name? Mine was Michael. I say "was" b/c I'm lapsed, as if that wasn't obvious already:)

lapsed doesn't mean you have to give up your confirmation name... you have to renounce for that to happen =)

I took Patrick as mine. There's a tradition in my family to take your father's first name as confirmation name - and I like St. Patrick - he was able to see the beliefs and values of the Irish at the time and explain the faith to them in ways that met their needs.

Get protein and fruit in early in the morning. Then graze during throughout the day. I consulted with a nutritionist during the off-season, which helped me tremendously, gave me a picture of what I could eat based on my activity levels. That's my advice, anyhoo.

sincerely,

Dave

Thanks! I was also inspired by your post a couple weeks back- I have to give yoga another go. I used to love it and practice it at least once a week, but the last few years I haven't unrolled my mat. Hope your rugbying continues to go well!

made it all the way up to first communion, and then I bailed. I think I was eight. Still, of the christian religions, it's my favorite. The churches, the smells, the ceremony.

Belt tightening: see if you can find a cheap fitness place, and start running and doing situps 2-3 times a week. It's amazing how much that improves the ol' metabolism.

I just pulled my bike out of the basement and put some air in my old exercise ball. It'll take me a while to find a good routine, but every bit helps!

I should start running again too. Running, a bit of yoga, some paddling once i find where I stowed my paddle... with so many trails so close by I do feel silly not making any use of them at all!
