Himeji and Kyoto

Rob and I hit the local train around 6.30 and off I went to Shin Osaka to get a trip to Himeji. It took a little while to find out which train I wanted but it was worth it in the end. The trip was about 30 minutes and like most places in Japan I couldn't see any signs at the station. So I just walked out and looked around. Nothing. So I asked ( Read more... )

Himejijo Castle which is rather redundant as the "jo" translates as castle anyway!
No different from "ATM machine", "PIN number", "HIV virus", "NT Technology", "BWI International Airport", etc.

Yeah the signs seem so simple in the station and then you go outside and the signs are now gone. Two exits one going north and one going south but the map doesn't indicate which way the site of interest is and no signs outside! ARGH!
