Damn, that's a good deal. Too bad it'll be a year or so til the ultra classy dinner party I'm sure you'll be throwing to inaugurate the silverware. :(

And christ, what is up with wretched sales people lately? The guy who sold me my computer was the douchiest douche to ever practice douchebaggery. What the hell ever happened to "the customer is always right"??

oooo plates! i can't wait to buy some. i am so gonna troll the antique shops for a really insane set (i already have crap everyday ones). silverwear too, and yes it will be at least silver plate, and yes i will actually do all of my eating straight from the pot with a wooden spoon. but at least my cupboards will have inner beauty.

not plates, sliverwear

I did however get some pretty desert plates for a buck a pop from Goodwill a couple weeks ago.

Before I cared about housewears I used to think flatwear was china. I did however manange to butch the spelling of silverware, so maybe I'll just stick to calling it flatware.

Your flatware looks much heavier than mine. I very much like the design. It would look great as formal dining silverware. Whereas mine I feel are perfect for just everyday eating- nice, but nothing uber fancy. Someday I'll have decadent silverware.

Mine are kind of fancy for everyday but for that price I just had to buy them. I know if I take good care of them they'll last for the rest of forever so I figured I'd just start out classy, why not.
