Seems like SOB is the new IA.

Are they going to be magically involved in every case now after never heard of them for ten years?

I don't think so - they are testing the waters to see how it will work. And TBH, I imagine Major Crimes would be a division who works closely with SWAT, given the nature of what they investigate. They can't do it all with 6 officers.

I know a spin-off is under discussion, but I'm still not seeing the story they need to make it work. All action is not enough. We'll see.

I never really saw the attraction of said spin off and I certainly wouldn't watch it, but now I'm like "spin off already and leave my show alone".
And why does this SOB unit have two people outranking Sharon? *pet peeve*
