Moving in. settling In.

[Moving in.]

It had taken Tsukasa two full days to fully grasp that he had a roommate. A female one, nonetheless- and this really shouldn't have been have anything stressful except for the fact that he wasn't exactly a neat person. To say the least. And thus, he'd spend all of Tuesday night frantically cleaning up to make sure she didn't walk in and walk right out.

She could find out that he wasn't exactly careful with his things after she'd moved in.
Heh.

It was clean enough by the next morning to have someone he barely knew move into it. He thought so, at least; there was no stuff on the floor, anyways. And he'd vaccuumed. Pretty remarkable, becuase he despised vacuuming almost as much as he despised romantic comedies. Hopefully she liked that sort of shit, though most of the women he'd met really didn't.

He leaned back into his couch, flipping absentmindedly through a textbook as he waited for her. It was too early in the morning to study, but was there really anything better to do?

Rurutia paid the cab driver and saluted him off as she took her luggage out of the car and started to head towards the apartment building. She was getting a place to live, it was absolutely amazing, and it would be cheap since she was sharing it with someone.

A man… but it was better than nothing.

She took the elevator and then went up to Tsukasa’s room and rang the doorbell. A tune was humming in her throat and she swayed a bit, it was her supposed theme song.

And there she was, right on time. Tsukasa was impressed; most people were at least a half hour late, so anyone with a sliver of manners was always a joy. He dropped his book on the table and stood up to go open the door.

"Hi there." A smile. "Can I take anything for you?"

Always polite, even if she seemed to have a decent grip on it- it was just good to ask. He held the door open.

“Why yes you can,” Rurutia replied, immediately dumping the large bag into Tsukasa’s arms and walked in before she was officially invited. She smiled at him. “Thanks.” And then she looked around.

It was pretty clean. She bet he cleaned it for her.

“So is there a room for me?” She asked, looking around the place for such a room so she could put the gigantic rolling bag down.

Tsukasa managed to catch the bag without stumbling. It was pretty heavy, but then again, she was moving in. "Uh... yeah, of course." He moved out of the way to let the door closed and headed down the hall to the room he'd used as a guest room for when his parents came to visit. He'd have to let them have his room now, but... that was fine. Whatever. He tended to fall asleep on the couch a few times a week anyway.

"Here it is." The door was pushed open. "I used to use it as a guest room, but I think I managed to get rid of anything weird. You can do whatever you want. Just don't paint it or the landlord will kill me."

He dumped the bag on the floor and stretched his arms.

Rurutia looked in on it and was very impressed. It was obviously a smaller bedroom but it wasn’t too bad at all, in fact it was rather cozy and it would fit her needs. She dumped her bag by the closet and spun around in it.

“It’s perfect,” she said smiling brightly at the handsome man who was now her roommate. Maybe being his roommate wouldn’t be so bad? As long as he continued to be so polite.

“What about bathroom? How we will split that up?” Bathroom and boys never mixed well usually.

Splitting up the bathroom? He hadn't really thought about that. Sort of stupid of him, maybe... but it wasn't really that big a deal. A shrug. "I dunno. As long as we don't go through each others' stuff it should be fine. We're both mature adults, I'm assuming."

...Well, that was a bit of a stretch with most people under 40, but he'd stopped thinking tampons were funny long ago.

"I usually shower before class, but it's not that big a deal if you prefer the morning." A shrug. He was willing to compromise, to most extents. He saw it as a necessity that they get along with each other.

“Nights are fine for me, good for after performances.” Rurutia had later in the week she had some how finagled in a small Tokyo bar. “Oh and you have condoms keep them in your room and I’ll do the same with my feminine products.” She was sure that Tsukasa didn’t really want to open a drawer in the bathroom to find her tampons and pads.

“So begins the roommate life of Yumiko and Tsukasa.” She smiled at him and saluted. “Good luck to both of us.”

A laugh. "Yeah..." Luck wouldn't really be required, because people weren't that hard to deal with. She seemed okay, at least- until she came home drunk and shaved his head in his sleep, but that only happened on TV.

...Hopefully.

"Oh, and my parents like to come by a lot, often times unexpectedly. They're lesbians, I hope you don't mind." He stretched. "And you can eat whatever's in the fridge until you get your own stuff. Um... I think that's it for now." Right? There was no point in a boring hour long conversation about stuff they'd both forget in 10 minutes, especially early in the morning. And he had work in two hours, so he didn't want to spend too much time on orientation.

Lesbians… …cool.

“Sounds good, shall I get settled and you go back to whatever you had been doing before I came. She bowed in her magician manner and proceeded to her bag to start unpacking.

Rurutia would enjoy living here, and she hoped Tsukatchi could deal with her wild sense of humour.
