[[Aoi and Intetsu]]
[[Aoi's doctors office]]

[[Talking]]
A vacation had been just what Aoi needed. Somehow, after that, his patients were almost interesting- something had to be wrong, because that never happened, not even after warm weather and a week of collecting shells and amazing sex.
...Perhaps Uruha was to blame?
What a frightening thought, the blonde having such an effect on his emotional state.
He sighed, not really caring all that much- there wasn't really time, since he had another patient. Atsuyaki Intetsu. Aoi recalled him as being the one with maturity issues- the tall one? He'd remember more once he saw his face.
He limped to the door and peered into the waiting room, suddenly remembering that Intetsu's parents weren't to be joining him that day. "Atsuyaki-kun?" A smile.
Intetsu looked up from the book he was reading probably for the fifth time over. He hadn’t been to see his doctor in ages because the man had been on vacation. He hoped the man had a good time, which it looked like with his awesome tan. He got up from his seat and went to the doctor with a small smile on his face.
”Welcome back Dr. Shiroyama,” he said with a bow. He was glad his parent’s weren’t coming to his meetings anymore because he had a lot of things he wanted to talk to the doctor about but was worried they would get in the way.
”Did you have a good trip?” He asked once he went in the room and sat down.
"I did, thank you." Aoi sat slowly in his chair, adjusting his posture. He wasn't always a million percent attentive to Intetsu, but he intended to fix that for at least one session. Get back on top of his game.
...Hopefully.
"I brought back some shells, would you like one?" That seemed like something that would excite his client.
“Really?” the boy responded, very excited indeed. He always enjoyed getting things and he never expected his doctor to be one to offer him something. The small smile on his face grew as his eyes wandered around the room to locate where the shells would be.
”Where did you go to Dr. Shiroyama?” When he made the appointment all he was told that the doctor was on vacation so he was curious as to where the man went.
Aoi smiled in response and stood up to get a shell out of his desk for the tall teenager. "I went to Australia with a... friend."
And god, how he wanted to go back.
"It was nice. It's summer right now."
Was he talking too much about this? Possibly, but on the other hand, it was a good way to connect with a client.
The boy took the shell in his hand and smiled as he examined it. He held it up to his ear to see if he could hear the ocean while he continued with the conversation.
”I went there once a really long time ago. I like the way they speak English. Do you speak English? Did you seen any Kangaroos while you were there? Or Koalas? They’re so cute..” He smiled and giggled a little as he removed the shell from his ear and placed it in his lap. He stopped himself from getting started on another ramble session because that’s where he always went when he hadn’t seen someone in a while and wanted to know everything they had been up to.
Aoi couldn't help but smile. Intetsu was so... endearing. A little annoying, but adorably so. Not that that made any sense... but a lot of people he knew were like that.
Uruha, for example.
...Not that he'd equate Uruha to Intetsu, ever.
"We didn't really do many of those activities..." He frowned. "But anyway, I'm not going to waste your time." A laugh. "How have you been while I was gone?"
The smile faded a little and the boy shrugged. “I’ve been okay. My parent’s are getting divorced now and one of my friends was in the hospital for attempting suicide and my other friend collapsed when we went out to lunch…”
The boy looked down at his shell and sighed. Life had been pretty crappy lately it seemed. The only upside might have been the fact that Mao was going to be staying with him soon. Aside from that nothing fantastically great had happened to him at all.
Aoi's eyes nearly bugged out of his head. Divorce? Attempted suicide? Collapsed? Seemed poor little Intetsu's life had blown up while he was gone.
...And that made him feel slightly guilty for leaving.
"Oh..." Another frown. "Well, we should probably discuss these things, shouldn't we?" Yes. "Um... which would you like to tell me about first? Unless you'd rather wait until another day and talk about something else, of course."
The boy continued to look down at his shell and fiddled with it as he tried to decide what he wanted to discuss with the doctor. He didn’t want to talk about the divorce right now and Jui collapsing wasn’t that bad since the pretty boy said he’d be okay so that left Mao. He still didn’t fully understand everything behind the suicide attempt so maybe his doctor could help him with that.
”I wanna talk about my friend who attempted suicide. He’s gonna stay with me for a bit and what if he tries again? I don’t think he will cause he has a box of Power Ranger band aids but…I’m still worried.” He looked up at his doctor hoping for an answer.
...Depressing. And now, Aoi would have to explain that bandaids likely wouldn't cure shit- unless he could avoid it, but... wasn't he trying to help Intetsu mature, see the world for what it really was?
He had to wonder what this looked like through his eyes, just how much he understood.
"Do you know why he did it?" A gentle question. He couldn't address the part about his friend doing it again, because... what the fuck did he know?
“I think…” he responded a little softer. “His friend Motsubaki kun passed away recently. I met him once and he seemed like a really nice guy..” It was odd to talk about Motsubaki now because even though he only met him once he still felt a little sad talking about him. He wanted to become friends with him and now he couldn’t. He also felt sad for Mao loosing his best friend. It made him wonder if he would do such a thing if Jui died.
"I see..." So, to top it all off, some kid Intetsu knew had died? Jesus Christ. "Well, he's probably been put on suicide watch, and if he's taken off of it that means a doctor thinks he won't do it again."
...Maybe.
"And I'm sure there will be plenty of people to take care of him once he goes home, if he hasn't already."
“Suicide watch…?” the boy repeated softly. He nodded his head a little and stored the term away in his mind for later. Would he be Mao’s suicide watch? What would happen once the boy left? He’d have to get him his own suicide watch for when that happened.
”Is there special things they have to do to take care of him?” If Intetsu had to get some special medicine or foods or something for his friend he was going to have to do that soon. He didn’t want anything to go wrong with his friend staying over.
"Just make him feel comfortable and make sure he's not alone if he starts to hurt." It was common sense, and in Aoi's opinion, much more affective with a trusted person than some nurse- but he was just a psychologist, what did he know? "He'll probably have to go to outpatient therapy. Inpatient if it happens again..."
...Maybe.
Hopefully not, because that would be really wretched.
“Oh okay,” the boy answered nodding again. He could do all of that so Mao was in good shape with him and that put Intetsu at ease for the moment. He gave a small sigh, glad that things were going to be okay with one of his friends at least. He really hoped Jui was doing okay but he hadn’t spoken to him in a while.
“Thank you for the advice Dr. Shiroyama. I’m glad I can talk to you about things since my parents are too busy it seems..” Busy yelling, slamming doors, hating each other.
"Of course." A comforting smile. "You are free to call whenever you need me and I'll do my best to be there, okay? Even if you just want to talk on the phone for a bit." An offer to everyone, of course, but he sort of dreaded the day someone actually did it.
...Except Intetsu sounded like he sort of needed it.
"How do you feel about all of this with your friend? Is your other friend sick as well?" God, that would be bad- unless he just had the flu or something, but still. Scary.
“I don’t think Jui’s sick…He said he’d be okay but it was so scary when he just fell over on the table like that. I thought he’d died or something. Jui and Mao are my only friends and I’d be really lonely if they weren’t around…” The boy could feel the tears building up in his eyes as he recalled the day at the café. It scared him so bad that he still doesn’t sit at the table they sat at when it happened. He took a deep breath and exhaled to try to recollect himself. He didn’t want to cry in front of the doctor.
...Well, that wasn't normal. But Aoi didn't want to worry Intetsu over something he knew nothing about, so he just forced another smile and nodded. "Maybe he just wasn't feeling well that day." Happened all the time, right?
...Not.
"But what about Mao? How did that make you feel? Are you angry with him?" Would be odd if he wasn't, at least a little bit. To Aoi, anyways.
Intetsu had thought about the fact that maybe his friend had been feeling well that day but he still wondered why his friend didn’t cancel the plans if he was ill. He had let it go after a while but it still worried him all the time.
Then there was Mao who worried him just as much it seemed. When he found out what had happened to his friend he was glad the other was still alive but scared of how he was now. He didn’t understand the reason to be mad at him. He was just glad to have him around still.
”He made me scared but I’m glad he’s still around. Why would I be angry with him?”
"Suicide can make people feel angry with others for trying to leave them. It's completely normal, so if you do start feeling that way, don't be mad at yourself." He had his doubts, though. That just wasn't the way Intetsu's mind worked.
Really, the kid didn't seem to know how to blame anyone at all.
"But if scared is all you feel, I guess he's lucky to have such a good friend."
Intetsu smiled as a blush crossed his face. He was glad to hear he was a good friend because sometimes he wasn’t sure if he was doing a good job.
”Thank you Dr. Shiroyama.” A small glance at the clock before his eyes were on the doctor wondering how much longer he had. He didn’t want their session to be over soon but he didn’t want to hog his awesome doctor all to himself.
“I’m glad I’ve got a good doctor like you Dr. Shiroyama.”
Aoi's eyes followed Intetsu's to the clock. Just ten minutes left- a shame, because Aoi liked Intetsu better than most of his patients, and there was still a lot to talk about.
"I'm your friend, too." A smile. Not entirely 100% true, but he wanted Intetsu to trust him as much as he could... and to want to discuss this thing with his parents. Dig through what seemed to be the surface issues so they could get back to the problem Intetsu had come for in the first place.
“R-really?” the boy asked with a hopeful look in his eyes. He was always up for more friends and being friends with his doctor would be awesome. A smile spread across his face as he looked at his doctor who was now his newest friend. He was half tempted to ask him about having a sleep over but he had to remember the man was an adult and adults don’t do that.
”Does that mean we could hang out outside of your office..?” He wouldn’t mind doing that. Maybe going shopping or something.
...Oh, fuck. Aoi hadn't considered what a fault in judgement suggesting friendship might have been. Then again, he saw Noa a lot, so...
...but that was different.
Sigh.
"Occasionally, we can, if you want to see me." God- now he was an unpaid on call psychologist? That was a little inconvenient.
The smile grew larger along with the joy of having a new friend. He would have to tell Maron of this when he got home since that was about the holy person he told all of his secrets to even if he didn’t talk back.
“We could go shopping and you could meet my other friends. If…If you want to that is..” He was worried that his doctor was going to think he was being an annoying child but he couldn’t help it. He tried to act older but it was hard to get out of that mind set.
"Um... sure, that would be fine. Just give me a call, okay?" Aoi smiled reassuringly. It would be fine, whatever. Meeting Intetsu's friends would be pretty useful. He had the feeling they weren't very similar to Intetsu, especially the one who had tried to commit suicide.
...Then again, what people his age were?
Another slightly regretful glance at the clock. "We're just about out of time... is there anything else you wanted to add to what we talked about today?"
The boy shook his head and gathered his things. He’d probably go back home now and talk to Maron till his parents came home. Then he would have his awkward dinner with them and curl up in his room reading one of his books for the 100th time over.
”Thank you though Dr. Shiroyama.” He bowed to the doctor and walked to the door.
