Bou & Reita
Blood honour
PG
Street, Ramen shop
There were few things on Earth more annoying than rush hour traffic, Reita had decided. It was all no problem while he could weave through the traffic, only a minor annoyance because it meant traveling with a little more care - but when two rather large trucks were blocking the entirety of the road and it felt like he had only traveled a few feet in the past half hour...
Luckily the traffic had inched its way to an intersection, so he squeezed between the bumpers of the two cars to his right as best he could, smirking in satisfaction as he pulled out into a road that was far from empty but at least the traffic was moving. Perhaps it was just bad luck that a flash of blonde at the side of the road caught his eye and he braked so hard he almost flew clear off the bike; but he held on, turned around and rolled to a halt next to his brother. "...Evening." A sarcastic smile, because he was pretty sure Bou knew he was hardly pleased with him.
For a long time, Bou didn’t say a thing, just started at Reita in a less than pleased manner. Obviously the smaller blonde didn’t give a fuck over the fact that his brother looked less than a little happy with him.
Reita could go die for all he cared.
Though… Hopefully not.
“What the hell do you want?” As if it wasn’t obvious, Reita wanted his money, probably the only thing besides sex that he cared about in the world.
"Oh, who's the one with the attitude problem now?" The taller blonde raised an eyebrow, finally turning the engine off so he could throw a lopsided smirk his little brother's way. "You know exactly what I want, and I think I was pretty fucking generous lending it to you in the first place so I suggest you return what I'm owed."
Maybe he had been stupid to lend money to a family member in the first place, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to get it back.
"I take it you're fine for accommodation and money as you haven't been to see me or anything. Hand it over."
Bou only scowled, scuffing his shoe against the concrete of the sidewalk for a moment before turning not quite angry eyes up to Reita.
“I just got a good job, I haven’t even gotten my first paycheck yet.” And even then, he wasn’t quite sure how much he was going to make right away, hoped to god he was what Jui called a ‘miracle child’.
“Give me like another week…” Surely that would piss Reita off. “I’ll pay interest if I have too.”
Reita frowned for a moment, none too pleased to hear excuses from anyone, brother or not. It was sort of difficult to be even remotely nice to someone he liked so little it was shocking that he had even managed to find enough sympathy to do him a favour in the first place.
"...You're fucking kidding. I know I don't exactly have problems in the money department but I don't like to be without the thing I work my ass off for."
This was why normal jobs were so stupid. Who wanted to wait for their money?
"I'll give you three days, then I'll start charging you more interest than you'll ever be able to afford and you'll have my people constantly up your ass, so I suggest you find it very quickly unless you'd prefer that."
Jaw dropped, and all Bou could do was stare at Reita in mild disbelief. What the hell?
Yeah, sure, Reita was an asshole, and all around jerk. But to honestly threaten him like that? Brother or not, it was pretty fucking low.
“Any of your guys come near me and I’ll shove a fucking knife down their throat!” And he meant it. Maybe.
Silence for a few moments, until Reita couldn't hold back a burst of laughter. More ridiculous words had never been heard.
"If any of my guys come near you, you'll be shitting yourself, trust me. That said, some of them are a bit dense...but if any harm came to any of them, don't think that being related to me would put you in some special position. I'd blow a hole in your head, no questions asked." He leaned over, putting two fingers to the little blonde's temple as if he was holding a gun, offering nothing more than a dry smile.
“You fucking idiot, you kill me and you’ll wind up in jail.” Whether he hid the body or not, Bou would make sure to leave some kind of note behind, just in case, telling every little detail about Reita and his oh so admirable lifestyle.
“We have to many connections for you to be overlooked.”
Unless of course Reita played the grieving brother, which Bou was pretty sure no one would believe.
Reita's eyes narrowed in obvious irritation, eyes scanning the crowd passing by because this was hardly the wisest of conversations to be had on a busy city street. Of course most people turned a blind eye, because they were scared of such things, but there was always the risk...
"I'm smarter than you think," he growled, voice lowering ever so slightly. "I could have your head blown off by someone else if I had to; my point is that you'll find yourself in a very unpleasant situation if you don't give me my damn money back, and trying to get me locked up won't help you out at all." Why did some people have to assume that there was no thought involved when things got serious?
But Bou hardly seemed intimidated, only rolled his eyes in a blatant show of sarcasm before he was turning, intent on walking the fuck away from Reita and his threats.
“Then I shall leave a video message saying just who did it.” And just so Reita couldn’t find it, he’d mail it to the police station right away.
And if he wasn’t dead at that point… Well, he could always just say threats were made and he was taking precautions. Not that he honestly believed a damn thing Reita said. Or at least didn’t want to.
Empty threats? Maybe, maybe not, but even someone as reckless as Reita knew better than to be too careless with matters like this. He'd never admit it out loud but few things scared him quite as much as the idea of spending the rest of his days locked in a cell.
Sigh. He stepped off the bike carefully, hastily grabbing his brother by the wrist before he had a chance to slip into the crowd and tugged him close.
"...Are you a fucking moron, Bou? For all I know, you'll call the cops right now just so you don't have to give me that money back. You're too fucking careless."
Eyes glued themselves to hands wrapped tight around his wrist, before vision flicked up to the sudden, so uncharacteristic close proximity.
“Dude, I’m not into incest, Reita.” A serious voice but the tilting of lips gave it away for what it was, a joke.
He could only hope Reita wouldn’t over react, per usual.
Reita couldn't help the slight curving of his own lips. It was hardly a time to be joking around but it was undeniably just the sort of tasteless humour he could and would always appreciate.
"...It's times like this I'm reminded we're siblings." He shook his head, but didn't let go of the other, eyes narrowing once more. "But I'm not a very trusting guy, you know?"
He'd give Bou his damn week, if Bou could convince him in all his paranoia that he wasn't going to attempt to have him arrested.
“As if the fact that we don’t look like twins,” at least when neither of them were done up. “- wasn’t your first clue.”
But leave it to Reita to pick something as easily faked as humour to be their defining feature as family.
But whatever. Eyes feel back to the hand that wasn’t letting go before glaring back up at his brother. “Are you going to let me go or what? As thrilled as I’m supposed to be at the fact that you’re paying attention to me, I’d rather not get an STD through osmosis.”
As if it was even possible.
Reita gave another short laugh, glancing at his brother briefly before deciding it was just another risk he'd have to take. He got the overwhelming feeling that the microscopic little bit of brotherly love was something mutual and if he was wrong...well, it was his own fault for being an absolute fool.
"I'm STD free, just got checked the other day," A grin, and with that he released his sibling's wrist and took a step back. "You have a week. I'd really appreciate it if you respected my wishes and paid me because it'd be a shame if I had to make any of my threats reality."
Head tilted to the side, and for a few seconds, Bou just observed Reita through hesitant, narrowed eyes. He didn’t really believe Reita would, but… They hadn’t seen each other in a long time really.
“You wouldn’t… Really kill me, right?”
God, he hoped so. Didn’t quite believe though, not yet at least.
The taller of the two brothers frowned, looking at the ground for a few lengthy seconds. Why lie? It was one of the few times he found it a little difficult to be honest, but...
"I'd like to think I wouldn't," He didn't look up, feeling an awful pang of guilt that made it all too obvious that he knew it wasn't the right thing to say. "Or maybe I should say I know I wouldn't, as long as we had the honour to respect each other as blood, at least." Perhaps that was a little better?
Bou wasn’t sure he understood entirely, but really, the blunt meaning was enough for him at least. A hint of a true smile before it was spreading into a wider, teasing grin, arm being slung as best it could over the taller blonde’s shoulders.
“That’s good, now you can take me out to lunch.”
Because he was starving, and Bou wouldn’t say, but he really sort of wanted to ride on Reita’s bike.
Reita was relieved that his answer hadn't gone over too badly, but he couldn't help rolling his eyes as an arm was slung around his shoulders - he hated the fact that for all his rebellious tendencies and serious problems with his relatives, he always cherished those rare moments where members of his family actually acted like they were related to him.
Another of those awkward soft spots.
"Fine, as if you haven't leeched enough of my money!" He swatted at his brother's arm, turning away to take a seat on his bike again. "Hop on, then. I'll take you for some ramen." If only because his housemate's love for American junk food meant he rarely bothered going out for a normal meal anymore.
The smaller blonde only rolled his eyes in response, but showed a smile nonetheless, more than a little pleased that Reita had agreed rather than punched him in the face.
“You spoil me, Reita.” Teasing words before Bou finally settled himself on the back of the bike, hesitating just a moment before slipping arms loosely around the other’s waist.
“I swear to god if I die on this thing, I’m going to haunt you.”
"I guess it's what big brothers are supposed to do," the older blonde decided, shrugging and turning to grin at Bou. "Nobody has ever died on it, and I don't intend to let that change today. It's not far anyway."
If there was any way to bond with Reita at all, it was to take a seat on the back of his bike and go for a ride. Odd, perhaps, but then again he was a rather messed up individual, and damn proud of it. So he simply started the engine up again and took off without warning, deciding that Bou would realise on his own that it was probably better to hold on a little tighter than he was, currently.
And it only took less than a second for the smaller of the two to realize it, arms clamping tight, fingers digging down into the material of Reita’s shirt.
“You could have fucking warned me!” Asshole. But everything came out muffled, face buried down in his brother’s back in fear, because for that first second, he had slid backwards almost an entire inch, and it hadn’t been pleasant.
Reita laughed freely, the sound hardly audible over the roar of the engine and he took a particularly sharp turn which left them only inches from the road, just for kicks. Nothing quite beat the feeling of taking someone for a ride on his bike for the first time.
Another corner, another laugh. "You wanna go faster?!" He would have shot his sibling an almost sadistic little grin were it not for the need to keep his eyes on the road.
Bou doubted Reita would listen, let alone care enough to follow his words, but that didn’t stop him from screeching out a demand regardless.
“Don’t you fucking dare!” But arms tightened even more just in case, because quite frankly, Bou didn’t trust his brother all that much.
At least not when it came to something like this.
Such a pity that they were so close to the restaurant now, because Reita would have loved to speed up even more than he did, but the difference was barely noticeable before he had to brake, the bike screeching to a halt right next to their intended destination.
"Try and tell me you didn't love that. It's like a roller coaster, but better." Grin. "And now you can get some lunch too, lucky you." He stretched dramatically, body tense and sore from the effort it took to stay firmly in the seat whenever he tore down the road with little regard for others.
The small blonde didn’t say anything, just stumbled off the bike and a few feet away, trying to get some sort of solidity back into his quivering limbs.
“That was…” Crazy, reckless, dangerous? Any number of things. But Bou settled for connecting his fist with Reita’s shoulder, glaring at the other blonde.
“Don’t fucking do that again asshole!”
Reita only laughed again, even when he felt the impact of his brother's fist against his shoulder. "Hey, do I look like I know how to obey the speed limit?" He gestured toward the restaurant. "Let's just go get some food, even if the ride churned your stomach a little I'm still starving."
Although he appreciated food as much as the next person, there were times he just...forgot, because he was doing other, more important things. Which was fine, because he just got his daily intake of calories in one sitting in front of Ruki's TV anyway.
Refusing to answer, because surely Reita didn’t obey any law that existed in the natural universe, Bou only flipped his brother off and turned to make his way into the restaurant, promptly plopping himself down at the first available table.
“I’m walking home, I don’t fucking care if it takes me the next five hours…” Not that he honestly looked forward to that… But he wasn’t quite sure he looked forward to another trip on Reita’s bike.
"You do that," Reita replied with a shrug, taking a seat across from his brother. "But don't say I didn't offer you a lift or something. And before you even look at the menu, don't you dare order the most expensive thing on there." Not that anything which could be ordered in a tatty little ramen restaurant would be expensive by any means, but the blonde was trying to make a point.
The point being that he was only willing to do what he felt he had to as a brother, and that he had no intention of being particularly generous. Not that it was going to stop him from ordering whatever the hell he wanted, but it was his money at the end of the day.
Bou hadn’t planned on ordering anything overly expensive, but now that Reita had said that, the smaller blonde couldn’t help letting his foot connect with his brother’s shin under the table before placing his order.
Not the most expensive thing, but pretty damn close.
And all he gave was an oh so charming smile in return, knowing it was probably only serving to piss Reita off that much more, not that he honestly gave a damn, at least not all that much.
Reita ignored the sudden kick to his shin, with a hell of a lot more effort than he put into most things, only flashing Bou a knowing, but rather dry smile before ordering his own food. They were more alike than they seemed, really, and Reita found that sort of nice and extremely disappointing all at once.
"You've turned out to be such a little bastard. Didn't you learn from my mistakes? I swear you should've made every effort to be polite and go work hard at university or something after everything I did." As novel as it was to talk his brother again...it really was best when he ignored the fact that he even had a family...and likening Bou to himself wasn't the most fair of comparisons either.
“Hey, I’m polite when it counts.” Which meant only when he needed to be to get something he wanted, or to get out of something he didn’t want to do. Which ended up with him being polite more than he wanted too.
A hint of smile before Bou was turning his attention out of the window. As awkward as things could be every time they meet, the little blonde was really starting to value the small amount of time he got to spend with Reita. Too bad he didn’t exactly get that feeling from Reita.
“Let’s just pretend we’re friends…”
Since they failed at being brothers.
"Yeah, me too." Reita shrugged. The only time it counted was when talking to the police or someone potentially dangerous, but...well, that was good enough because politeness was something that definitely did not come easily to him.
"Friends?" The blonde narrowed his eyes. "Why? We're having a perfectly civil conversation as sworn enemies, aren't we?" He smiled to himself, giving a shrug. They evidently didn't hate each other as much as they were supposed to, but it wasn't easy to act like everything was just fine and dandy between them either.
Sworn enemies?
Of course. What else could Bou expect from anyone, let alone Reita? He had hoped they could at least be friends, since neither of them seemed to be able to act like the brother’s they were supposed to be.
But maybe that was just the foolish hopes of a little blonde that still idolized his brother somewhere in his heart, even if he would never admit it.
“Yeah, I guess.”
"Bou," The taller brother sighed, resting his chin on one hand and looking at the other with a raised eyebrow. "Trust me, there's nothing to gain from being around me, you'll just end up getting dragged further and further into things you don't want to be involved in." Oh, for a time there were no people he cared about enough to want to protect them.
Dammit.
"If some people knew you were my brother, even, I'm sure they'd find some way to use that against me because family is everyone's weakness, whether they admit it or not." A frown...it was strangely easy to talk to the other considering how tense their conversations had been at first, but 'friendship' was hardly a good idea.
Bou only rolled his eyes in response, but he felt pleased that Reita cared enough to clear things up, even if only a little.
“Do you really think I would let myself get dragged into shit like that?” A short pause. “Never mind, don’t answer that, but I can promise you, I won’t.”
But as for someone using him against Reita? … The smaller blonde only shook his head. No way someone could be that stupid. Either to believe Reita actually gave a damn, or to even try and blackmail him.
"You really think you're all that, huh? I've seen plenty of people who were just like you and thought they were all tough and headstrong and now they're still doing dirty work for whoever got hold of them first." Bou, apparently, didn't take it at all seriously, still had the same boyish overconfidence that one never lost unless they were made to.
Or maybe Reita was reading him all wrong.
"But sure, let's be friends. You can visit me all you like, maybe sit between the crackheads and the gambling addicts and we can have nice conversations over cups of mint tea." A dry laugh. "Just don't judge me for what I do." What a stupid idea this was.
Bou didn’t say anything for a long moment, just let chopsticks travel through noodles and any manner of things that was added in to make shit like it taste good, even if it usually failed.
He wasn’t sure what to say to that, wasn’t sure he even wanted too.
In his heart he just wanted to be that same kid that looked up to his big brother, not giving a damn what he did, just knowing that they were there for each other. But really, it had probably never been like that at all.
“Yeah…” He wouldn’t like it, but he’d take what he could get. Not that he’d ever say that out loud.
"You know I won't let anyone do anything to hurt you - I hope you do, at least." Reita turned his attention to his food, too, finding it far more pleasant to focus on. "But that could be my downfall. "
This was so, so stupid but part of the taller blonde liked having a little brother to look out for, too.
"Ah, what the hell, I'm a risk taker anyway. I have no problem spending time with you, but don't flaunt the fact that we're related in public? In private or around my people, sure. Just not out on the streets surrounded by dodgy fuckers. If you can do that, I guess we can be 'friends'." He picked a chunk of some identifiable substance out of his soup, stuffing it in his mouth and not even bothering to chew and swallow before he spoke again. "Up to you."
And the small blonde finally let a grin spread across his face at that. “Let people know I’m related to you? Fuck no.” But despite what he said, Bou would never be ashamed of having Reita as a brother.
He certainly had to be better than those over-bearing, stuffy ass brothers who couldn’t mind their own business all the time. At least Reita minded it most of the time.
“But I’d like being friends…” And he would really. “After all, that way I can kick you out of my life when you piss me off.” Only not really.
"Hey, don't hurt my feelings!" But Reita only grinned and laughed, feeling a little more at ease with the situation and everything it involved. "I'm not that easy to get rid of, either. So get used to me pissing you off."
He wasn't about to say how nice it was, but...well, it was. He doubted somehow that he would ever find himself in this scenario with his parents, but he wasn't sure he wanted that anyway.
"I guess I'd better let you know where to find me, then, right? I'm very good at not being where you expect me to be; I live in three places." Though...99.9% of the time he was living at Ruki's house. Maybe more.
“You better if you want your damn money back.” But they could hang out as well, as long as Bou was sure that Reita wasn’t going to bash his head in for not being able to pay him.
Though god he was hoping he could soon, because if there was one person he didn’t want to be in debt too, it was Reita.
"Yeah, I still want it back as soon as you can, if you'd be so kind." Reita continued picking through his soup for the bits he actually wanted to eat, not really caring that poor manners were frowned upon in public places. "If I'm not at work, I'm probably at 54 Ao Drive. You can just knock on the door, everyone there is a little weird, but they're fine."
“Ao Drive? I’ve been there before…” Not that particular place, but he had been there once before on a job. And really, it had been the best damn job he had ever done because he hadn’t needed to really do a damn thing, and he got paid no less.
A quick shake of the head, Bou not sure what else to say, because if Reita found someone weird, surely he would think they were aliens or something.
"Yeah? 54 is one of the huge places at the end, so you should find it pretty easily. Please don't go to the wrong door, because the neighbour will cut you up like a steak and lock you in a room for a month or something, and I'm not exaggerating." Not one of Reita's fondest memories, really. He'd be bitter about it...oh, forever.
The food that had been making it’s way to the smaller blonde’s mouth was promptly dropped back into the bowl, Bou staring at his brother in disbelief for a few seconds.
Uruha… What?
“He… He didn’t seem like that when we meet.” Oh there was no way in hell he was ever going back there again, money or not.
What the fuck. Of all the people he was associated with somehow that Bou could already have met...Uruha really was right at the end of the list of who Reita would have preferred it to be.
"Well, I hate to tell you this, but he led me on and locked me in a cage. For two fucking weeks. I've never hated someone so fucking much, and if he wasn't so fucking..." hot"Fun to hate, I swear I would have done something very painful to him by now." Never before had the blonde been so torn about his opinion on anyone, and it only proved that he was as shallow as one could possibly be.
“He did?” Bou started blankly at Reita for a few moments before dissolving into laughter that he really didn’t have any hope of stopping.
But really, how had Reita not noticed that he was being locked up in a cage? Then again, Uruha had been pretty charming…
“Well, he was nice to me…Probably had to do with why I was over there.”
A fist was slammed down on the table in irritation. "Don't fucking laugh about it! He's clever. Or maybe I was just drunk with lust, but the point is that you don't fucking do that to someone. I swear, I should just shoot the bastard and rid the world of him."
But Bou's words piqued his curiosity as well. "...What were you there for, anyway?" He wasn't so sure he wanted to know. Fuck.
“Whatever.” Bou only rolled his eyes in response, not at all caring that Reita was more than a little peeved at him for laughing at a predicament that surely was at least partly his fault.
But to Reita’s question, Bou wasn’t sure he wanted to answer that… But Reita already knew about his old job, so there was little harm.
“Actually, he wound up paying me a ton of money to coach him and give him all kinds of tips on…” things.
Reita stifled a laugh of his own. "...Too bad he didn't actually deliver and use those tips, then. Because I definitely wouldn't have complained. Fucking bastard." He hated it, he loathed it, how he couldn't even put his all into hating Ruki's neighbour because his thoughts just drifted to...other things.
He was infatuated, and he wasn't going to admit that. To anyone, not even himself.
"Anyway, I don't wanna hear about your work, or him. Seriously. Talk about something pleasant."
“Hey, the money I made for just talking was pleasant indeed.” Bou had been able to bail himself out of some pretty tight spots with that money, which he was sure he had appreciated more before Reita had decided to open his big mouth.
“Besides, he had-” blushingly “said it was for his boyfriend.” And what a lucky son of a bitch that guy would be.
"Yeah? Well, his boyfriend can go to hell." There was just a hint of bitterness to his voice, and he pushed his food aside, suddenly not at all hungry. "I bet Uruha locks him up too if he does something wrong anyway. Are you nearly done?"
He wanted to go home, all of a sudden, and stop talking about Uruha and his boyfriend and how they needed sex tips or whatever.
A raised eyebrow, because Bou couldn’t even begin to imagine the scenario that Reita was trying to make him see. “I don’t know… Uruha seemed like the submissive one in the relationship.” Must be a surprise given everything the bigger blonde had said.
But a quick glance at what ever was left of his food and Bou was agreeing with a silent nod, finally standing.
"Uruha?! Really?" He could hardly believe that, but if it was true...it was already sending his mind in the wrong direction completely, so he hastily paid for the food and urged his brother out the door with a muttered thanks to the staff.
"You shouldn't tell me things like that, dammit. Right, where am I taking you?" But he just leaned against the wall and lit up a cigarette as if he expected the other to take a full five minutes to figure out where he lived.
Bou looked surprised for just a moment, raising an eyebrow in question, wondering just why the hell Reita had reacted that way. He couldn’t think of anything, except… “Do you want to fuck him? … You do!” Not that Bou could blame him…
At all.
“Too bad he’s taken.” An almost forlorn sigh that was teasing in its entirety.
“You can drop me off…” Did he really want Reita knowing where he lived? Probably not. “The park I guess.” He could walk from there easily.
Reita only scowled, arms folded across his chest and he spoke with a lowered voice as if Uruha might hear him or something. "Of course I want to fuck him; have you seen him? I don't even know what it is, but..."
Whatever it was, Reita hoped he would one day lose it so he could find someone who wasn't a psycho to lust after.
He changed the subject swiftly, deciding it was a little odd to talk about who he wanted to do with his little brother. "Going for an afternoon walk or something? I can take you to wherever you live, you know?' Whatever, he didn't care either way, he wanted to go home and have a cold shower and watch TV.
Bou sighed, figuring they was really no way he was going to get out of telling Reita where he lived, and really, despite earlier threats, he didn’t want to walk all the way home.
It’s just… He was just a tab touchy of the crappy place he happened to live. That and he didn’t want Reita banging on his door at all hours of the day and night for whatever reason.
A deep breathe, let out and the little blonde finally mumbled his address.
"Okay." If Bou had expected his brother to give a damn where he lived he was definitely wrong. At least he wasn't on the damn street or anything. Finding himself just wanting to go curl up in front of the tv, he stubbed the cigarette out and motioned to the bike. "Hop on then, I'll even obey the speed limit this time."
It probably wasn't safe to drive any faster anyway, not when he felt flustered and pissed off all at once, all because of...
Ugh.
Bou hesitated just a moment before sliding onto the back of the bike, wrapping arms in a vice-like grip around Reita’s waist, not quite trusting his brother, no matter what he said.
“Promise?”
Even if he did, Bou didn’t think he would loosen his grip any time soon.
"Promise." And he kept that promise, starting the engine with a sigh and taking off at what seemed to him to be a snail's pace. He had achieved very little, it seemed - he still didn't have his money, and now he had Uruha on his mind again and it only pissed him off.
But then again...he had sort of mended a broken relationship with his brother, or at least made an attempt to. That was progress. "Slow enough?" A simple question thrown over his shoulder at the other.
“Y-yeah…” A shuddering breath and Bou let his grip loosen just a little, but it was still a tab bit tight by anyone’s standards.
A quick sigh, face burying down to keep out of the wind before Bou was smiling just a little. “I like spending time with you…” Quiet, and the blonde didn’t know if he wanted it to be heard over the noise of the wind and traffic.
Reita wasn't quite sure if he had heard his brother right...and he wasn't sure he wanted to question it either, in case he had heard wrong. It was a nice thing to hear after all, from a sibling you never really saw and were supposed to be incredibly bitter towards.
But really...what was the point? Perhaps they had only been bitter because they were expected to be. "...Here we are." The short drive came to an end and he turned to look at the shorter blonde. "You'll come over and give me that money as soon as you can, right? Visit whenever you want."
The money of course. But Bou sort of hoped that the last part at least had nothing at all to do with the money he owed Reita, and everything to do with the fact that Reita just wanted to see him…
A laughable concept at one point, but Bou wasn’t so sure anymore.
“Yeah, I’ll work hard and pay you back, then I’m come visit and kick your ass for things you say.” A teasing grin, because really, Bou sort of expected something like that to happen.
Reita rolled his eyes, but he was laughing. "Yeah, okay; I'd like to see you try. I'd be more lenient with the money but people take advantage of that. Just get it outta the way and we can stop talking about it so much."
He still wanted to get home, but at least he felt calm. So much better. "Anyway, I'll see you soon, then. Look after yourself, okay?"
Bou grinned, giving Reita’s shoulder another punch, though less hard then the previous one, just to prove that he would hold up on his threat if he had too.
“Yeah… You too. You call me if you need anything, alright?” Like an alibi and shit like that. Bou wasn’t sure what else he could help with past helping Reita stay out of jail.
A quick wave before the smaller blonde was turning and disappearing inside his old, run down building.
