Godric's Hallow, Halloween 1986He stopped at the shattered cottage as he had done every year on this date since she’d died. He didn’t quite know why he made this annual pilgrimage, perhaps to remind himself of what a failure he was

Excellent response to the challenge and I like the song/poem it seems very "Snapish" if you will. Very reflective of the characterization.

I actually have the Eurythmics and Prince on my list of songs to possibly use when (and if) my own fan fiction moves into the 80s, so it's wasn't so much that I didn't find inspiration from the site that was provided, it was just that whatever I would have come up with using either artist would have definitely been slanted towards my fan fiction.

Gabriel's "Red Rain" seemed a better, more "generic" fit... ;-)
