If You Go Down To The Wood

A/N or Summary: yes, i caved and wrote it, we can't let Ms. Mcgrath down now can we!!! also this is my first fic so be kind!! :D
She knew she shouldn't have, but Gwen slipped away from her guards and went for a walk on her own in the woods. It was nice to be on her own outside for a change, since becoming Queen she was always surrounded by people; her guards that Arthur insisted on, maids she didn't know or other hangers on.
It was a warm day and it was nice to walk in the shade of the trees, that was until she heard and strange growling sound. she turned and saw at the top of a small hill in the forest a large creature, she had never seen anything like it before. It started to walk towards her showing huge sharp teeth and growling as it came closer. Gwen started walking backwards away from the beast never taking her eyes off it, but couldn't get away as she hit a tree. Pinned to it as the animal came closer she started to panic.
"That's enough" a voice shouted. The animal stopped in it's tracks and turned it's head towards a figure on the hilltop. The figure was a woman and wore a cloak with the hood covering her face, She walked down the hill towards them and stood next to the beast stroking it's head, which it leaned into her thigh, she moved her hand to underneath its head and stroked there, the animal looked contented and less of a threat, but Gwen only relaxed a little.
"Hello Gwen" the woman said as she removed the hood from her head.
"Morgana!" Gwen said in surprise, looking down at the beast that now sat happily being stroked. Morgana saw the look on Gwen's face as she wondered what the animal was and why it did as morgana said.
"This is Hugo" morgana said "He's a my protector. He comes from a far off land where they call him a tiger. Hugo this is Gwen, she's a friend." she said looking down at him. She raised her eyes to Gwen and said "You are still a friend, aren't you?"
"I am"
