[Rhade holds up a few examples of paper currency. They're all very pretty and colorful in his hand. And... he seems to have collected a single unit of whatever ones he could find for lack of anything better to do.] I suppose the Admiral wishes to make some sort of ridiculous commentary on the association of holidays with ( Read more... )

Not very. Someone is new and thinks it has a use here and is hoarding it away.

...Everywhere but their room? Various types of currency?

I suppose if someone desperately wants to have every imaginable type of currency the next time we're sent down to a jungle or a post-apocalyptic wasteland, they'll be fully prepared.

My research into Earth currency suggests that the blend of plant fibers used to construct the paper makes them sponges for contaminants and contagion. I suggest running it through the UV sterilizer in the lab and then putting it back.

If they were infectious someone would already be sick by now. But if it does belong to someone and the Admiral didn't place it there like I'd presumed, I'll return it to them.

It's not an issue.

[But when she does get there, his weird pokemon one-of-each money collection is still out.]

I saw some of those, [she says as she walks in.] I figured they had to be part of a prank or a test or something weird so I left 'em.

I had some time to chill and think. I have an idea but...once we talk about what you called me here for I wanna run it by you.

We con't have paper currency, so it was an interesting exercise. [He gets up to pull up a chair.] I would like to hear it. But first, I'd like to tell you about something.

There was an incident, something like a flood where we had our memories and parts of our personalities altered by some outside individual. They came aboard the ship like flag, only non of us can quite identify the figure now.

[Good man. :c]

Knife and sword. A girl wanted to learn the bow, once.

[Little girls always feel better when discussing their super awesome weapon's skills... right?] I know someone on board that's very good with bows. She's been practicing since she was younger than you.

[You just improved Una's day, Rhade. Although she's slightly mystified by the array. How many stashes did you find?]

Curious collection you've got there.

And yes, the mistletoe is an annual occurrence.

[Every single one he could find. This took a full day. But at least it made his day better, and it's not as bad as the bathroom incident.]

I thought it seemed unusual myself.

...That's unpleasant. [And despite being in the equivalent of a make-out brawl that's about the most bitching Rhade's going to do about the stupid mistletoe.]

I'm sure there's a perfectly good reason for it that will become clear eventually. Or not, and it will simply remain one of those Barge mysteries that endures long after the perpetrator has disappeared or graduated or left.

[It won't. But for now, Una has a very good poker face.]

I frankly don't mind having slept through the vast majority of it last year, I don't mind admitting.

I'm not particularly troubled by it. [Random money is kind of low on Barge risk factors in his opinion. Just if it is someone, they have a strange sense of humor and it was worth noting.]

My mouth still feels tender from the the last one.
