I hope this isn't an uncomfortable question, but did you ever discover why you had died?

You mean when I was shot- oh, you mean the one here. I went back to the greenhouse and found nothing.

That's quite disconcerting.

I'm sorry you were shot. I've been shot as well, and even though I was wearing undergarments which stopped the bullet it was quite painful.

Survival is important to my people. If I stumbled into something, I'm the fool for not being more alert to my surroundings. But I doubt anyone here that would hate me enough to kill me wouldn't have bragged about the fact afterwards.

[Well that was interesting. T'Pol arches an eyebrow.] It sounds as if a way of life has become a hobby.

Still a way of life, but the rewards for competition have become less significant. Not that the accumulation of knowledge isn't to be appreciated, but the inability to make use of it is frustrating.

[More staring for a bit. Then.] Would you say that there has to be an equal playing field before someone proves themselves superior? Two people given equal chances and opportunity to win a specific prize?

Equality is an illusion. You can't be an individual and equal, and no one will receive equal chances.

Excellent. As you're one of my favorite people to be judged by.

Would you prefer your room or mine?

It starts as a pile, so set up isn't particularly difficult.
