Cooper is affected. He doesn't seem to remember his warden's tendency to kill people that get in his way. [Because some of the others at least wait until they're angry!]

Why do people complain so much? These things happen. Space is bumpy. At least no one is shooting at us, and we haven't crashed into a planet.

Consider it incentive. I certainly have. And once I figure out exactly what hope is tethering me to this miserable place, I'll be glad to cut myself from it.
