I did something stupid this morning. Running at first light, I tripped over a kerb (because I thought the cut-away was wider than it actually was) and landed on first my knees and then my hands, mainly the right hand. There are a few stiff places but my knees feel less stiff and I'm basically fine today.

No, I'm fine apart from some residual stiffness here and there. I agree that you have to be on guard all the time for tripping hazards.

Bah, sorry about the accident. You can't be on high alert all the time. Things happen. I hope your knees recover quickly.
Getting older is a bitch. I have calluses on my knees for kneeling down all the time when packing and renovating. So much so that it hurts to kneel now. Plus all the joints are aching. It just takes so much longer to heal than it used to. *sigh*

Yes, I generally notice tripping hazards but of course accidents happen when you lose concentration for a second. I'm basically fine today apart from some residual stiffness. I feel so lucky that I didn't break anything.

Oh, that is miserable! If your knees are bruised, trying cold packs on them. It will help. I really hope the pain goes away quickly.

We're probably going to get some bands of hard rain soon once that hurricane leaves Cuba. I'm just hoping it doesn't decide to come to Florida. I'm really done with hurricanes for the year.
