Aria enjoyed a couple of the books I found for her on my library website, and she (and the other two) also enjoyed rereading one I found the previous day about a girl's short stay in a hospital when she had appendicitis and had to have her appendix removed. We didn't have very much reading time though, as the girls had a book club meeting at their ( Read more... )

My library has a limit on physical books, it's just that I've never reached it, lol.

Actually, I've just checked and you can borrow up to 100 physical items. I've now got 9 digital books checked out, so I guess the digital limit is 10, since I returned one.

I can understand how it would be boring to walk inside! Pat and I boxed yesterday and were really glad to get back to regular exercise. We missed it over the holidays!

I'm glad to hear your shoulder is better!

I break my walking inside up into 15 minute increments which seems to make it more bearable.

It's great that your daughter encourages their reading and that they enjoy reading so much.

I'm (finally) getting back into reading, and I discovered there was a limit on the number of (digital) holds you can have. At least once you finish a book you've borrowed, you can return it, but some of the books I have on hold, there's many weeks until they will be available, and I can only have 10 on hold at a time. I'm sure the thought process is you shouldn't be able to have more books on hold than you can have checked out, but it seems to me to be pretty common for the holds to take quite a few weeks to come in, and it seems silly to put that kind of a limit on it.

Yes, my library has a 10 item limit on digital holds too. I guess it's a standard thing. Sometimes I've had to wait about 6 months for a book, and it seems silly that I can't have others on hold while I'm waiting.

Walking inside is totally boring. I need to get out of the house again and really walk. I'll start tomorrow because today I just feel blah and had to do so much else. Excuses...
But I think walking again will help my mental state.

I'm only walking inside because I'm desperate for exercise and it's been below freezing for most of the week. At home I'd be using my exercise bike.
