I own two pairs of nail scissors. One pair was given to me by my grandmother when I was about 16, and works really well for my fingernails but can't manage my toenails, some of which are thickened and some of which have thick dead skin at the corners. For my toenails I have a much stronger pair of nail scissors with one of the blades serrated on ( Read more... )

there's nothing quite as nice as freshly trimmed toenails. ;) and that's GREAT they opted you in to the plan you'd have chosen anyway. whew!

I hate it when my toenails are too long; they poke holes in my socks and dig into the toes beside them.

I'm glad to read that the employer chose the health care option you would have taken under the circumstances. I wonder they backed down on paying it for you.

I have never found decent toenail clippers that I can use easily.

There was no explanation about the payment or non-payment if either the annuity or the health insurance. I had a report several months ago showing what the HR person had calculated I should get but no official confirmation that that amount *would* be paid, and nothing has been paid yet

I can't use clippers for either my finger- or toenails.

That is very frustrating, but at least the default was what you would choose. ARGH.

Enjoy being home!

It was great relief to see that statement about me being opted-in if they didn't hear from me in time.

Being at home is a mixed blessing. I'm enjoying sleeping in my own bed with no footsteps above me waking me up randomly during the night, but it's lonely.

I can understand the mixed blessing. It has to be good to rest, but not good to be alone.

Jeff has taken to getting a pedicure every month in order to take care of his feet. He loves it. it looks like the health care is done and dusted, but still

A monthly pedicure is starting to sound inviting.

I really hope the health insurance is in place.

You can probably tell I'm not a fan of housework. I don't suppose anybody is, really.
