While I'm a bit wary around snakes in the wild, that's because I can't tell which ones are venomous. Snakes that I know aren't? So cute! =3 There was this adorable little ball python that someone I knew would bring to campus accassionally. His (the snake's) name was Raistlin, and he really liked me. Partly because I was warm and it was winter, partly because I smelled good, I think. He got all sleepy and curled up in my shirt around my bra strap once. I had to untangle him when it was time to go to class.

... I keep my distance from wild ones. (I don't want to get bitten.. safer to keep my distance, just in case.)
And admire them because they are rather pretty creatures, and I have been around "tame" ones enough to know that they're not horrible.
... I don't want to kill them just because SOME SPECIES of snakes CAN be deadly...
