Technology FTW, Part II

Update to a post long ago: I now work from home 2 days a week, Tuesdays and Thursdays. A most excellent upgrade.

I totally wish I could do that, but congrats! *hugs*

Thanks!
It is very awesome and I consider myself really quite lucky with it. Everytime I get fed up with my job (I don't use my brain much for this job, gets dull), I remember all the perks and I just keep on trucking.

What do you do for a living?

Hi Lev! :)

I am a manuscript manager for a scientific journal. Basically, I'm a very specialized project manager and professional nag. Brief summary: I take manuscript submissions, make sure they go to the right people at the right times and then nag said people when they do not do what they are supposed to do within a given time frame.

Lots of organization and multitasking ability required, not a lot of deeper thought involved. Think of it as a rather large if/then/elseif statement. :)

Love your icon, btw. And your user name. Kant ftw.

Yeah, see, I was asking because I hate my job and have been wanting to quit all week.

If you hadn't referred to me as "Lev", I probably would have gone to my grave forgetting I was ever called that!

What do you do with yourself these days, work-wise? I'm sorry to hear you hate your current job! :(

Or is that something I'll find in your LJ?

I want to click through your journal when I've got some solid time on my hands; Revvoice said you were really digging philosophy these days. Most excellent.

It's interesting, what we do and don't remember as we get older. I remember you by your given name and Lev, not always in that order. ;)

Ooh too true. I bet you don't get to do those "work from home" days every now and again anymore. Bummer! :(
