"Stop making so much noise," Maureen mumbled, rolling over onto her back in her own bed and kicking off some blankets. It was always hotter in the mornings. "It's early."

He froze when he heard another voice. He didn't realize anyone was within earshot. "Oh sorry to wake you," he said, unconvincingly with heavy sarcasm. He was having a tough time seeing the good in the situation. It was one thing to be optimistic when he was himself. When he knew he could take on the world, but he wasn't sure he could do that now.

Now not only awake but irritated by Mark's sudden attitude, Maureen threw off the rest of her blankets and climbed out of bed. As usual she wore very little to sleep in - a white camisole and a pair of blue boy-cut underwear.

"What's got your panties in a twist this morning, Mark?"

"Who is Mark?" Zack sat up slightly, looking in Maureen's direction. "I'm Za--" Then wishing he hadn't as his body reacted. He looked away, willing his body's excitement to go away, which wasn't working so well. He thought about dying hoping it would be a turn off. "I'm Zack," he said again.

"And I'm not wearing panties," he replied looking at the ceiling awkwardly. At least he wasn't wearing panties. That was another good thing for the moment.
