Wasgwonon,

I've already discussed my feelings on Departed, and Inside Man I feel is logistically flawed (if you think about it too much, there are glaring plot holes).

However, Borat comes as somewhat of a shock. Not because it wasn't a good film, but because it made me question why that wasn't on my list. Certainly it was probably the funniest movie I saw this year, and pushed the limit on all sorts of taboos, but could i seriously rank that up there with something like Pan's Laberynth? Comedy should get props with the acadamy. It's just as hard to act in Borat (if not harder), as it is to act in a drama. I don't know, i'm going on a rant here.

Also, looking forward to LfIJ, and am dissapointed i missed out on Flags of our Fathers.

Plus, all the stars of Happy Feet were in london a couple weeks for the priemere, there was a huge ice thing built in the main square. Very cool.

=k=

Yeah, I certainly understand why Borat was recognized and I think it's entirely deserved. The reason Pan's Labyrinth or The Queen aren't here is because AFI awards are only for American films or films that are somehow important to America. Something like that. I'm not sure how it's worded exactly.
