eye_of_zohar and I spent Friday night out at the Rhythm Society's quarterly All Night Dance Celebration as guests of bahir. I was especially happy for the chance to go. That sounds great. I haven't been out dancing in years and I don't even remember the last time I stayed up until 4am! You'd think I was an old lady or something.

Dancing is something on my get-to-know-Sticky One-better list.

Hey, don't you start telling me about being an old lady! Ha.

It is a lot easier to stay up late if there's a cushy, intimate place to rest or nap. RS does a great job building different kinds of inviting spaces out of the 60s Brutal-style concrete architecture of the SF Unitarian Universalist church.

Plus, I'd been winding the clock around until late late late at night studying (I've had a week full of tests), so I was ready to stay up beyond my usual bedtime.

I'm having a paradoxical new relationship with Sticky One these days. I've lost 15 pounds since New Year's, which has taken quite a bit of discipline. Never been on a dietary regimen before. I can tell that I haven't untangled the "food = love & comfort" feelings. For time reasons I'm relying a lot on pre-packaged foods supplemented with salads and fresh vegetables (livin' la vida Lean Cuisine... y Trader Joe's). That's a utilitarian rather than sensuous approach to eating which sometimes feels like deprivation. I counteract that with a nice meal when I can. eye_of_zohar made me a ( ... )
