When I got the call that Dawn was coming to LA, inside, I couldn't help but feel a little happy, because I thought that maybe Buffy would be coming as well. But no. Just Dawn. It was right when I walked out of Wolfram and Hart, declining their offer of working there. Then my phone had rang and I saw Buffy flashing across the small screen of my cell ( Read more... )

It was a mostly silent ride to L.A. Xander was really moody and quiet, which was a strange look on him but I didn't exactly blame him after all he'd lost. Mostly his eyes. Stupid cyclops. How had Buffy managed to talk him into this anyway? Not fair. After the way that Xander and I had...I don't know, connected I thought that he might try and take my side for once. So much for that idea. Whenever Buffy's around I just seem to disappear ( ... )

They both got out of the car and I just stood there, stuffing my hands in my pockets, rolling on the balls of my feet. I gave Dawn a smile and realized how much she grew up, how mature she looks ... and how not happy she seems. I can't blame her, she was basically shoved on my lap to watch, which I'm sure she has a few words to say about that as well, if she was anything like her sister, I'm sure I'd hear all about it ( ... )

I watched Xander practically bite his tongue off to keep from saying anything mean or sarcastic to Angel. They really didn't like eachother. I mean, it wasn't like I'd know or anything but Buffy used to complain about it all the time. She never shut up about Angel when she was in high school, I got so sick of hearing about him. Although at the same time it made me feel special, like I was in the secret slayer club or something. Not like I could tell mom that Buffy was dating a vampire ( ... )

I stood there for the longest time, holding the door open as Dawn and Xander went through their goodbyes. Like I couldn't hear it anyway. And yeah, I had cable in this big hotel, what a joke. I knew that Dawn would be upset because she had to come here and leave Sunnydale during the big fight, that had to have hurt, and I'm sure I'll hear all about once she gets inside. Finally, Dawn walked away from him and I kept the door open, holding it for her as she walked on pass. Gave Xander a sarcastic smile, or well, what I could muster up, then walked inside behind her, closing the door behind me ( ... )
