Wow, as someone that does this for a living, that looks great!

My first suggestion would be to create a separate professional email account.... ianclark @ yahoo.com or some such nonsense.

im also wondering if there was a reason the "I" in Ian and the "1" in the phone number and the "m" in the email address doesnt line up. Was this intentional? I like however that the font that has the same margins top vs. bottom and left vs. right (especially if the left side font all lined up). This makes it look really clean withoiut being bland because you have so much movement and depth with the design and color.

The most amazing thing about this card is its a little mini-sample of your work that you get to handout to people to keep. How subtle!! I see it and instantly believe that you are a qualified Editor/Motion Designer.

But hey, this is all coming from me, Mr. Anonymous.

Anyway....Yeah, wow.

that is kick ass. cool enough to get your attention...but not too busy to make you be distraced from what is important on it...you're kick ass to the extreme.

ten points!
and ten is the most you can get, so good job.
the colors pull you in...then you actually read what it says...then you think...if this guy has a sweet business card...he must be the coolest guy. ever.

It's boreing and the colors hurt my eyes. No offence at all just my honest opinion. Something about the way your name overlaps the line makes the whole thing look off, the first thing I looked at was whats in the middle, the first thing I should have been looking at is your name. And there's something screwwy on the side were the yellow line sorta melts onto the side of the card that looks weird. If I were you I'd throw it away and start again, but what would I know, I dropped out of the AI.

the first thing I should have been looking at is your name

this fact is debatable. what really matters first and foremost is the information is clear and easy to read.

is it really more important to know what his name is or what he does. it differs from person to person and situation to situation.

in agreement about the screwy line on the side....but sometimes i think i actually like it. im non-commital like that.

ian, dont start over, its too nice.
