i haven't done one of these in a while, so here we go:
1. What bill do you hate paying the most?
rent, because it's the largest amount
2. Where was the last place you had a romantic dinner?
i don't do romance or dinner
4. Do you own a guitar?
where did question three go? yes, whatever, i have lots of guitars.

i can't even remember high school
6. Have you ever ridden in an ambulance?
no
7. Do you own a piggy bank shaped like a pig?
no i have one shaped like a bear
8. How many colleges did you attend?
three. i'm glad that's finally over
9. Why did you choose the shirt that you have on right now?
i just came home-for-the-holidays and i only packed three shirts, so i wore one of those
10. What are your thoughts on gas prices?
i don't have a car, but i pay $2 per subway ride, so it's not like i really spend less
11. Do you shower facing the shower head or with your back to it?
our shower has a flexible, movable shower fixture
12. First thought when the alarm went off this morning?
i don't have an alarm
13. Last thought before going to sleep last night?
i was thinking how my life is kind of worthless

yes. nothing interesting though
15. How many windows are open on your computer?
thunderbird for email and firefox with about a million tabs open
16. What chore do you hate doing the most?
dusting, it's so stupid
17. If you didn't have to work, would you volunteer?
i don't have to work, and no, i don't volunteer

get up early. it's fun
19. What is your favorite cartoon character?
even though it's kind of a generic answer, i've really been liking Homer Simpson lately. not because he's "dumb" or he drinks beer or whatever, but because he's had all these crazy adventures and he's led a full life just by being confident, taking chances, and not caring what people's reactions will be. i think there's something really profound about that.
20. Who was the last text you received from?
my mom. we were trying to figure out where to pick me up after my train came in.
21. Are you a daydreamer?
no, i'm usually overly focused and aware
22. When did you first start feeling old?
it probably first started around 22, and it has kept getting worse. now that the childhood and highschool/college years are over, i really don't see the point in living any longer. sadly i'm not trying to be melodramatic or sarcastic.
23. Favorite 80's movie?
um, there's some "horror" movie about a bunch of crazy attacking housecats that i saw, and that was probably made in the 80s.
24. Your favorite lunch meat?
tofurky by default
25. What do you get every time you go into Wal*mart?
a headache

lake. ew i hate the beach
27. Do you think marriage is an outdated ritual?
it's a false hope. women are fickle and will sleep with whatever dangles something sparkly in front of them; men are loyal but have no desire to enter a woman's emotional life.

no, i don't even own my soul.
29. Favorite guilty pleasure?
i really like shutting myself off from the rest of the world and not allowing anyone to interact with me on a meaningful level. which is pleasurable but also makes me feel guilty.
30. Favorite movie you wouldn't want anyone to find out about?
it seems to be uncool to like movies with Ashton Kutcher in them, especially for an indie film nerd, but i think he's really cute and i love everything from Dude Where's My Car to The Butterfly Effect to My Boss's Daughter.

i'd like to be a singing cowboy but i think Native Americans are such a proud, beautiful, and spiritual people

sometimes of course, but i've seen so many conversations go terribly wrong because of misunderstood sarcasm that i think it shouldn't be used. also i think sarcastic hyperbole (like saying "*everybody* loves hot dogs!") is very damaging, irresponsible, and unintelligent rhetoric.

no, luckily

when i was going to the train station on sunday i made two wrong turns and walked the wrong direction, and i was embarrassed that i wasn't paying attention.

i wish we'd went ahead and had sex

no, i couldn't get an appointment before i came home-for-the-holidays

Mister Rogers. i really respect him and he's made a pretty big impact on my personality and the way i see the world. or maybe i should clarify that he had an impact on the good part of my personality, not the depressed "why aren't i dead yet?" side of me.

i like being outside but sometimes it's overwhelming

i've crashed in the snow twice. neither of them were really that big of a deal.

no. i'd like to go to Canada and Paris, but i'm really more interested in traveling the United States and experiencing all the craziness and variety it has to offer. i'm not into hiking the Venezuelan rain forests or anything.
