i think the one thing that can decide that question is:
You can kill yourself and others, so in a sense, you control life.

because you can turn life off doesn't mean you control it. it's like a big machine or robot or something...you're powerless to control exactly what it does, and all you can do is sit back and watch it, or turn it off.
