History.

Born and raised in a military-esque family, Wade always had a pretty strict lifestyle, but he wasn't without the love of his mother and father--specifically his mother. Unfortunately when Wade was five his mother was stricken with cancer and it spread through her body before the doctors could act. She died fairly quickly, and it left Tank and his son Wade heartbroken. But Tank wouldn't let his wife die in vain and set to raise their child right. It was difficult being a hard-edged military man, and Samantha had been the primary caregiver as far as compassion went in the family. Not to mention young Wade was rather 'gifted'.

Tank set to help his son move forward, and tried to nurture his gifts. Doing what he knew best he trained Wade and kept the household bound in a army styled manner. He made sure his son was strong, healthy, and disciplined. When he was the right age he had Wade enlist in the military, where he quickly excelled. Wade had a hard time fitting in with the rest of the recruits, given that his 'gift' allowed him to excel much better than any other soldier, and mutants weren't taken to kindly. But Wade was determined to make his father proud and served until his time was finished. Before he could even worry about what else to do with his life, the government contacted Wade to come and work for them in their special operatives department. Unable to turn away the opportunity to serve his country--or disappoint his father--Wade accepted.

During his service for the U.S. operatives Wade trained in various forms of combat, weaponry, and piloting. He became an expert assassin for the United States and worked for the government undercover for many years. Eventually he began to yearn for more than just serving his country. Wade wanted to explore the other options in his life, he wanted to meet people--and not kill them. He wanted to feel like he was really living. But before he could retire, the government prompted him for one more assignment: MRE.

His job is to infiltrate as one of them, discover their motives, and report back accordingly. Should Wade discover anything the goverment doesn't like? They have one of their top assassins planted within the base to take care of things.

Personality.

Not having an abusive, alcoholic father changes Wade's canon personality a great deal. He's as perfectly stable as any other person can be, and he isn't the least bit dark or cruel. Being in the military for so long (including his household) has left him to be very disciplined. Wade knows his place, and rarely if ever steps out of line. He's respectful, considerate, and does his best to do his job or whatever is required of him. However, being one of the only mutants in an all human environment for so long has left him somewhat socially awkward. He's used to being outcast, as most mutants are, and his defense for such is joking around and being quirky. Sometimes that doesn't usually work and has Wade wishing he'd never opened his mouth to begin with.
