I start to get little inklings, little shocks of inspiration, and then my 'to-do' list spirals so out of control I'm back to square one.

I just got married in October so I can sympathize with the wedding planning. It was completely overwhelming to me until we set a date and picked a place. Then everything else sort of fell into place.

You doing something local? I found that herecomestheguide.com had really good local listings for venues...though all their listings are pretty traditional (good unless you're looking for something cheap or wacky, which I was).

Oh, wedding planning is awful! Everyone wants a say, but isn't willing to help at all.

The date is pretty much set. We have a venue in mind, I just need to book an appointment to negotiate with them. *dread*

We're def. on the budget, non-traditional boat. I can't believe how much things cost!

aww, gogo i know exactly how you feel! greg and i just recently cancelled our cable in hopes that we would get more shit done, or atleast pick up a book now and again :D there are so many things i want and need to do but i'm just unmotivated, maybe it's the weather? planning a wedding is tough, we actually ended up getting a planner because we were (and still are) so disorganized. i agree with hwar though, once you book a place and set a date you will feel an immense amount of relief, you can then focus more on the smaller details.

Ryan asked if we could get rid of TV. I said, "Noooo!".
He says, "Wasn't it nice in London without a TV?"
It was.. but we had things to do there! We would just replace TV time with computer time! Also, my TiVo is what's really killing me. I tape & watch every night.

As for the wedding, we're sooo low budget. My mom scoffed at even a day-of coordinator! She says she can pass out the checks to vendors, but I don't want her to be worrying about it. Ugh! I don't think she realizes how much help coordinators can provide. We're DIYing sooo much & it would help to have an extra set of hands for set-up on the wedding day.
ANYWAY! We think we have a venue. We have to negotiate with them.

im a total list maker too, its redicuouls at times. i make lists even though most the time i dont need them and there are only 2 things on the lists. but they help so much. another thing you should do is do something special for yourself. last year i realized i didnt take care of my self. i stopped wearing make up, getting my eye brows waxed... little things that make me feel good about myself. its easy to loose yourself in your life girl! especially stressin about that weddin o yours. worring a bunch about how other people feel or think, it blows. hang in there! i'll come down and we'll get gussied up and go dancin leave the boys at home hehe
