I've been a bit iffy on this story for the past couple of chapters (something I'd be happy to discuss with you further over email if you'd like) but I just wanted to take a moment and let you know how much I love his proposal. So many fic writers go so over the top with that scenario and it is immensely refreshing to see such a simple, honest and straightforward approach. No flowery speeches, no recitation of how his love for her is bigger than the the moon and stars. Just an honoring of her wishes and the only part that really matters, the question.
