The LA Times and New York Times have both posted articles about the whole thing. Collectively, they think it's a hoax or "viral marketing", but no one can figure out what for.
Or maybe it's just too teenagers with too much free time and good editing software.
Yeah, I saw those articles when I started looking into the whole lonelygirl15 - 'phenomenon' - for lack of a better word. I'm 99% sure it's faked for promotional reasons, but who knows. At this point all I care about is what happens next as the whole thing is rather engrossing once you start getting into it.
