On that ridiculous Red Eye Video and that Half-Assed Apology

Mar 25, 2009 01:53

I cant believe I'm actually wasting time and space to write about this video that totally does not deserve any more attention than it already received, but since I heard about it two days ago, I've just become angrier and angrier. And the half-assed "apology" that came out today doesn't do anything to make me less angry.

If you don't know what I'm ( Read more... )

first of all...it's fox news...I'm not surprised that they said something like that.

second of all...you have every right to be upset because this was not a war that Canada had to be involved in.

remember to breathe maki-chan

yeahhh, I know it's Fox news - not surprised either, but majorly disappointed.

*sigh* yeah, I'm a lot less upset now that I got my rant out of my system haha - this is what happens when I haven't slept properly in 2 weeks and then hear something like this :p

if memories serves me correctly, we tried TWICE to invade Canada and failed miserably on both accounts. regardless, you still helped us during the Revolutionary War. you guys are better pple than us, doncha ya know?

plus, OMG, canadian bacon. you guys win forever.

edit: and it's fox news. FOX. even their own programs make fun of them for being assholes.

*glomp* If canadian bacon was currency, canada would have the world in their hands XD And lol, meh, it's ok. If it weren't for America, there would be no Conan O'Brien -- and what would I ever do without him ;D
haha and yeah, fox "news" >_> "fox". I bet they would approve of the over-use of quotation marks in this line, lol.

I agree with you, I watched a part of the segment (I listened for the first 30 seconds and gave up because it was REALLY offensive! >:T) and the apology... haha seriously? I didn't even bother. Anything they said wouldn't have made a difference anyway.

It's things like this that make me, as an America, want to wear a disguise and speak with some sort of accent so people won't know I'm from here. That ignorance is just embarrassing. -_-;

>_< well, I know it's not all Americans who think and act this way, so don't worry - I don't think badly of you because other people in your country may act like idiots *cough*fox*cough* >_> Canadians can have their moments too haha, I think it's humanity that has issues XD not just Americans :p

OT but I'm really loving your icon here <3

Oh, I know you'd never judge an entire populace based on the opinions of just one (or a few) people. :3 *hugs* I just can't help but be embarrassed because of the message organizations like Fox are sending to the world about the opinions of the American people. I mean jeez! I don't care whether a station is publicly or privately owned, someone could at least put a disclaimer somewhere! Something like "These views are personal and do not necessarily reflect the general opinion of the nation" or what have you. Ugh.

Aw, really? Thanks! XD Do you read/watch Bleach?
