Just a Miracle (P. 3)
Kyuhyun had been doing an enormous improvement since he woke up.
He was soon able to breathe without any machine helping him, he was able to eat solid food again and even started walking. Still, his recovery took time and wasn’t able to participate in Super Junior’s movie; the rest of the members had more than 20 hours of work per day, filming, recording the songs for the soundtrack of the movie, rehearsing steps for the MV, doing radio and TV interviews.
But for Siwon, it didn’t matter how tired he was or if he was using his free time when he should have been resting, he visited Kyuhyun at the hospital every day he was able to. It didn’t matter if the youngest was fully awake and talking or if he was asleep, just seeing him made the older relax, knowing he had survived that dreadful accident and was now recovering to stand on stage with the rest of the group once again.
After finding out that the maknae had woken up from that 6-day coma, Siwon thanked God for giving him a second chance to live and fulfill his dream of being a singer. Against all odds, Kyuhyun fought and had made it through and for Siwon, that was a miracle of God. Kyuhyun was a miracle and Siwon was so glad to have him as his dongseng.
It was one of those rare days that Siwon had activities in the morning and late at night, so in the afternoon, he dropped by the hospital to visit his friend. After saying goodbye to Ahra that had to go to work, Kyuhyun asked about Super Junior’s week, as Siwon hadn’t been able to visit due to work; the maknae did that every time the older dropped by.
Siwon didn’t know exactly why the youngest questioned him about their activities but he suspected that, getting to know about what was going on with the group, made Kyuhyun feel closer to them. Like he was back in Super Junior already.
-....and we started discussing with Lee Soo Man-ssi about what the concept of the second album would be. When Siwon finished the sentence, Kyuhyun’s eyes lost some of their brightness; the older noticed it right away.
-What is it? Are you in pain? Do you want me to call a doctor, Kyuhyunnie? The maknae just shook his head in denial. -It’s nothing hyung, don’t worry, I’m fine. But of course the religious man didn’t buy it; after some good minutes of saying -Tell me, tell me! Over and over, Siwon finally exasperated Kyuhyun until he almost shouted.
-You’re better off without me! Siwon was totally speechless and after a few minutes, Kyuhyun was the one to break the silence. -I wasn’t able to participate in the first album because I hadn’t been added to the group yet. Kyuhyun spoke in a shallow, emotionless voice. -I took part in the mini-album and nobody wanted me in Super Junior, and when I’m finally being accepted by both ELF and the members...this happens and now I’m also missing the movie and probably the second album. And I’ve heard how well you are all doing so maybe it will be better if...if I don’t come back at all.
When Kyuhyun finished he stared down at his hands in sadness and embarrassment, he didn’t want to show his self-pity, especially not in front of one of his favorite hyungs.
Siwon just stared at Kyuhyun, totally amazed by what he just heard; he had never seen this side of the maknae before, he was pretty sure not even Donghae or Ryeowook did. They had seen him cry before but never feel sorry for himself, Siwon then remembered that, as a hyung, he should comfort his dongseng.
-Now look at me Cho Kyuhyun. The youngest did what he was told at once. -I don’t know if the rest of the guys haven’t told you, but I will; we were definitely worse before you joined. We needed someone like you, with your attitude and flaws and virtues; I don’t think this group can be the same if you leave us; haven’t you heard all those boasting speeches Teukkie hyung gives us? We are 13 parts of a whole and if one part is missing, we may keep going, but we won’t shine as brightly. So now, focus on get betting, for you WILL stand on stage with us again for the second album, Kyuhyun.
After those moving words from his hyung, the maknae let a smile form in his face and nodded at Siwon.
And again, against all odds; Cho Kyuhyun was on stage singing Don’t Don with Super Junior. His participation was limited, the choreography was to tiring for him and the maknae would had injured himself more, so he just came out when it was his turn to sing. And that was just after Siwon.
The older was a bundle of nerves every time they had a live performance, though their concept was the one of a rude guy, Kyuhyun’s platinum blond hair and black clothes only made him look thinner and smaller. This freaked Siwon out as he always had the feeling that the youngest would feel sick again and would start writhing in pain or pass out on stage, he was the one who assured the maknae that he would be there for the second album but Siwon didn’t expect him to look so weak when the accident had happened so many months ago.
Siwon just felt the impulse of going back to the front to support Kyuhyun even though he claimed he felt good enough to perform, some of the members tried to convince him to wait until he was fully recovered but desisted when they saw the determination in the youngest’s eyes. He never suffered an accident on stage and ELF screamed crazily every time he appeared.
Super Junior was coming back to their dorms from filming one of the last episodes of “Explorers of the Human Body” before New Year when one of their managers told Hankyung, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun to remain in the living room.
-¿Has something happened hyung? Donghae asked worriedly.
I hope you guys start learning Chinese soon, because Super Junior M will debut in a few months.
