Just a Miracle (P. 5)

Super Junior M won China’s heart amazingly fast.

Though most of the members couldn’t communicate well in the foreign country, they had talent and that made it up; they quickly started receiving prizes, beating Chinese bands. They were all excited and happy. Except for Siwon.

Their time in China was almost over and he had barely hung out with Kyuhyun, the youngest was still very attached to Zhou Mi and he spent most of his time with his Chinese friend, touring over the cities they visited. Zhou Mi knew his country like the palm of his hand so he delighted the maknae with amazing restaurants (Kyhyun had a weakness for food, especially Chinese) and the best entertainment you could find in China. Siwon was starting to dislike Zhou Mi but he though about what Kyuhyun told him of being good to them so he kept it to himself.

He even tried to see the positive side of Zhou Mi and Kyuhyun’s friendship, the youngest’s Chinese would improve amazingly, he would get tons of Chinese fans by being friends with a native member (by all means, Siwon refused to belive that it would be because of this so-called popular couple: QMi) and Siwon could focus in what seemed Chinese ELF’s favorite couple: SiHan. Hankyung was a great friend and confident for him, he was the only one who saw him crying when the accident that almost took Kyuhyun’s life, and he had a great time with the sub-unit’s leader but sometimes, he couldn’t help but miss Kyuhyun’s attitude and his voice, by all his voice.

In Korea they all lived together and everytime the youngest felt like singing, Siwon could listen to him; but in China they were staying in hotels, 2 people per room and as Kyuhyun and Zhou Mi shared a room, Siwon couldn’t hear the angelic voice outside their performances.

Siwon wanted to speak with Kyuhyun so badly, like when they were in Korea, but with him and Zhou Mi joined by the hip there wasn’t much he could do.

It was their last week in China and Super Junior M was eating at some street restaurant in Beijing that was amazingly good (courtesy of Zhou Mi); Kyuhyun swallowed dish after dish, they were all already used to this except for Henry who watched open-mouthed how his hyung ate non-stop; how Kyuhyun ate that much but remained that thin was a mystery. At this scene of the two youngest being unintentionally cute, some members chuckled in amusement; Kyuhyun was about to call the waiter in his perfect Beijing accent to ask for another plate when the restaurant’s manager came in and told them that there would be fireworks outside soon, if they wanted to see them.

Before he could finish talking and Hankyung translating, Donghae and Henry went out running like little kids in Christmas, they both loved fireworks. Kyuhyun wanted to stay and eat but Hankyung told him to go outside with the rest. Siwon had come to the place were the others were last because he went to their van to take out his coat, he spotted Hankyung talking to Zhou Mi and the oldest gave him a knowing look, Siwon knew exactly what it meant. -This is your chance to fix everything, don’t mess it up. You can thank me later. Siwon nodded and approached the maknae.

-Hey maknae. Kyuhyun turned to look at Siwon, though Henry was younger that Kyuhyun, everyone still adressed him as “maknae”.

-Hyung. Siwon didn’t missed the way his voice sounded lower, less excited than when they were back home. Maybe he was expecting someone else, like Zhou Mi; it took all of Siwon’s efforts not to be let down by this simple act.

-Can I talk to you for a second?

-We are already talking hyung. The older just decided to ignore the maknae’s usual wits

-I just wanted to tell you that, well, I know you are good friends with Zhou Mi and you get along with him amazingly and I’m happy for you but...I think you should spend more time with the rest of the members, you’re kind of leaving them out. Siwon intended it to apply to all the members but Kyuhyun was smart enough.

-Oh, am I sensing jealousy here? In a quick change of roles, Kyuhyun reached up to pinch Siwon’s cheeks like a baby. Siwon was opening his mouth to protest when, out of the blue, the youngest hugged him tightly.

-I was actually looking forward to talk to you hyung, I’ve also been thinking about it. How I’ve left everyone out because of Zhou Mi, especially you, when we used to spend so much time together. Kyuhyun said as he let go of Siwon.-I just wanted to apologize, though it’s OK if you don’t forgive me, what I did wasn’t nice at all; and I also wanted to tell you that, if you still want us to be friends as before, I would be, not glad, thankful. This little speech was like a slap in the face for Kyuhyun’s pride, once again, he’s showed to Siwon one of his weakest points, first not being needed and now his fear of losing people. The maknae looked down, suddenly fascinated by the street floor.

Siwon stared at Kyuhyun just as he would be a liitle baby, this time the older gave the hug.-I will never want to lose your friendship either Kyu, but promise me you’ll spend more time with me than with any other of the group. Kyuhyun bursted out laughing and Siwon ruffled the maknae’s hair as a little revenge. Hankyung, who had been watching after Henry and Ryeowook dragged Zhou Mi with them, smiled while shaking his head at Siwon’s possesiveness over Kyuhyun, he was truly important for the religious man.

-Come on guys! The fireworks are about to start!- Donghae said as he grabbed both Kyuhyun and Siwon by the hand and pulled them to edge of the street so they could get a better view. As expected, the fireworks in China do not disappoint but being there, after having one of the most succesful debuts a foreign group had in China, and with his friendship with his favorite dongseng back to normal, it gave an even more spectacular feeling, at least for Siwon.

When Super Junior M returned to Korea, they were all tackled by the members who stayed, screaming “New album! We’re making a new album!”.

kyuhyun, siwon super junior, kyuwon, wonkyu
