jazz choir is so contrived; it's just politics and backstabbing and everything a roman senate should be. ruled by a monarch? that was never questioned, but the GOODNESS of this emporer is a far different story

music, jazz music especially, is about feeling. i quit the choir and the band because it was too defined for me. read the notes, play it how i say you should play it, no room for individuality. orchestra fit me better - more of a fun relaxed environment, no strict musical "rules". and by the way, you can sing. no doubt about that one.

i'm still in the school band and jazz band, it's very musical and we improvise and everything. the choir is just very similar to any type of pre-vietnam armed division (you can stretch this back into the Greek's favorite town Sparta).
