Now that I am not frantically scrambling to move, finish essays, and prepare for a conferece, I can take time to do things at home. I love your plans! The shortgown in particularly is brilliant, and extra appropriate when you're doing a working impression.

Hmm... I have a straw hat in my stash that looks pretty much just like that. Modern braided straw, but the same brim height, flat straight-sided crown, narrow brim. I have no plans to use it, and I don't want to store it. Would you be interested, for the cost of shipping?

That cake looks yummy! I really don't need to get into making cakes now... also trying to lose weight... ;)

Thank you so much for the generous offer of the hat, but I got some straw blanks at Christmas that I am planning to use so I can practice millinery.

Losing weight is hard! Best of luck to you!

I love the plans! I'm currently working on a full robe inspired by that first shortgown, though I'm being stupid and doing so many ruffles. I'm already regretting this decision. ;)

Thanks! I bet the ruffles will look great! I want ruffles, but I think they will have to wait for another future Regency project when I have more time.
