Wow, that shawl's looking awesome! I'm jealous of your knitting stamina.

Thanks! lol It's not stamina so much as that I've been working on it in spurts (for the past year and a half).

The quilts look beautiful! And the shawl too.

On the mitts, I often knit them with a garter stitch hem as an alternative, and sometimes without the point. The real trick is getting the gauge you need for your hand circumference. Let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks Gloria! I finally feel like I have enough experience knitting that I can comfortably move up from knitting rectangular things. I have some coral coloured fingering weight and will be picking up some small DPNs at JoAnn when I'm in the states in a couple of weeks. Then I can start experimenting with gauge.

Thanks Angela! I'll be glad when I'm done these quilts. I've realized that quilting isn't really my thing. ;p

quilting is really really precise-- off by even 1/16 and you are an inch short after only 16 pieces! <-------------been there done that!

It's very demanding. I was always glad to see the back end of a quilt!

Yup! I always tell people not to look too closely at my quilts. They definitely don't line up properly.
