Trip Recap: Dakotas (North and South)

Finally feeling better, so here's the first part of my trip recap. My boyfriend and I hit the road and drove down through North Dakota, stopping off at a rogue Dairy Queen in Moorhead, ND. It's rogue because it still uses its contract with Dairy Queen from 1949 and is thus able to offer all sort of old school treats that are no longer served at

I loved this. Long time ago (BC-before kids) the hubby and I went to Walnut Grove. I don't have much memory of it because we were having a whopper of a fight that day (that is when I discovered that I get hangry and he tries to save money with only 2 meals a day. Now when we travel by car, I bring snacks! LOL!) I know a couple can make it if they can travel in a small car without hating or killing each other! You passed the test!

Anyway, I am inspired to re-read that series now and to see this town (and re-see Walnut Grove!)

I wanted to go to Walnut Grove too, and it turns out it was on the way to Minneapolis, but I didn't know at the time exactly where it was and the GPS took us on a route that was just north. Boo!

Food is important! Hangry is a real thing. I totally support re-reading and visiting the sites!
