What is it about human nature that makes us want to kick someone when they're down? Even if they haven't really hurt us personally, many of us gleefully take the opportunity to smack someone when they can't hit back ( Read more... )

I know I have been away for a long while but this struck a chord with me.

Keep your head held up high and it is very much true that a wise enemy is better than an ignorant friend.

Hope things improve for you :)

How have you been? I hope things area going well for you. The last time I talked to you, you were swamped with work.

As for the above...well...I should probably learn to let things go.

I've been alright :) A lot has changed in the past couple of years and I've decided that growing up is highly over-rated but oh well.

I've been working for a year in Kuwait. Left it with a storm of fury and now am in Beirut waiting for airports to open so I can get back to the UK and start my life over once more :)

Letting things go is probably a very good thing to learn but I haven't been able to...I just decided to give people only as much thought as they deserve...

How's everything been going for you?

Growing up is most definitely over-rated. Unfortunately it isn't an option for most of us. Working in Kuwait sounds interesting, only not in a good way. Whatever it was that infuriated you, it must have been very bad.

Giving people as much thought as they deserve sounds like a good place to start. That way they don't steal your time. Constantly brooding over an undeserving individual give them too much power over you.

The important things have been going well. My family is healthy and happy. Work is being a bit of a pain, but the person giving me a hard time is retiring in December. It's easier waiting out a problem when I can see the end of it.
