Body and Appearance
1. Describe the character's height and build. Is he heavyset, thin, short, rangy?
Tall, thin and borderline lanky, but muscular.
2. How old is he?
Probably over 200, but there are no exact dates.
3. Describe his posture. Does he carry himself well or does he slouch?
Depends on how he's feeling. If it's a fight, he's standing shoulders back, chest out. When he's relaxing, he'll either be slouching forward or leaning back.
4. How is his health? Is he fit or out of shape? Any illnesses or conditions? Any physical disabilities?
He's in prime physical condition, very fit.
5. How does he move? Is he clumsy, graceful, tense, fluid?
Very deliberately, and with confidence. He doesn't waste a lot of movement, unless that makes a fight more fun.
6. How attractive is this character physically? How does he perceive himself in the mirror?
He's got a strong face and a great body. Ikkaku knows he looks pretty good, but he's less concerned with looks than he is with strength.
7. Describe his complexion. Dark, light, clear, scarred?
Lightly tanned, I'd say. He's got scars everywhere.
8. Describe his hair: color, texture, style.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA
9. What color are his eyes?
Dark brown or gray. I dunno, man.
10. Does the character have any other noteworthy features?
He's got little red marks tattooed at the outside corners of his eyes. He's also bald.
11. What are his chief tension centers?
Temples, shoulders, back of his neck.
12. What is the character's wardrobe like? Casual, dressy, utilitarian? Bright colors, pastels, neutrals? Is it varied, or does he have six of the same suit?
He wears his uniform in Seireitei, mostly regulation but with no socks. In the human world, when he's not more or less properly wearing the school uniform (again, no socks and he doesn't wear the indoors shoes properly), he'll be in loose, comfortable clothes like sweatpants and tank-tops that are easy to move around in. When pressured to dress well, he'll wear loose pants with heavy belts and tight shirts or wifebeaters.
13. Do his clothes fit well? Does he seem comfortable in them?
Yes.
14. Does he dress the same on the job as he does in his free time? If not, what are the differences?
On-duty and off, he wears his shihakushou and carries his sword around.
15. You knew it was coming: Boxers, briefs or commando?
Fundoshi. Barring that, probably boxers or commando if he can get away with it.
Speech
1. What does this character's voice sound like? High-pitched, deep, hoarse?
Deep and a little hoarse, and it rises about two octaves when he's yelling. Basically he has a HOTBLOODED voice. Fitting, since Nobuyuki Hiyama voices him.
2. How does he normally speak? Loud, soft, fast, evenly? Does he talk easily, or does he hesitate?
Usually pretty deadpan and even, but in a fight he'll have some more variation. He gets pretty loud, too. And Ikkaku's a chatterbox!
3. Does the character have a distinct accent or dialect? Any individual quirks of pronunciation? Any, like, you know, verbal tics?
He talks like a thug, drops his particles and slurs his sounds sometimes. No dialect though, it's just a style of speech.
4. What language/s does he speak, and with how much fluency?
Japanese fluently, and headcanonly, a bit of Mandarin.
5. Does he switch languages or dialects in certain situations?
Not languages, but he switches to hyper-polite Japanese when he's speaking to Captains.
6. Is he a good impromptu speaker, or does he have to think about his words?
He runs his mouth, but he does think about what he's saying before he says it.
7. Is he eloquent or inarticulate? Under what circumstances might this change?
Neither. He's sort of an average speaker.
Mental and Emotional
1. How intelligent is this character? Is he book-smart or street-smart?
Very street-smart, probably slightly above average in booksmarts. My reasoning being that you don't live for 200 years and not pick up some literature along the way.
2. Does he think on his feet, or does he need time to deliberate?
He deliberates a lot so that when the time comes, he'll be able to make snap decisions and think on his feet.
3. Describe the character's thought process. Is he more logical, or more intuitive? Idealistic or practical?
A little bit of both. He logics things out to their logical "well this could go either way" conclusion, and then just goes FUCK IT, MAYBE I'LL GET LUCKY.
4. What kind of education has the character had?
Dunno. If anything, the Shinigami Academy but even that's sort of fuzzy.
5. What are his areas of expertise? What, if anything, is he interested in learning more about?
Fighting. Oh, and fighting.
6. Is he an introvert or an extrovert?
An introvert who likes to give the impression of an extrovert.

Even-tempered! He's pretty deadpan most of the time, unless there's a fight. Laid-back unless he's training or fighting.

Yeah! He's got a pretty dark sense of humor and he laughs so hard he cries at just plain ridiculous things. Like a Yumichika-fro.

Meeting Kenpachi, achieving Bankai.

Ambiguously single (LOOKIN' AT YOU KUBO TITE). And I dunno, but I doubt it.

Nope.

Dunno. I will say that he's probably got a raging mancrush on Kenpachi, though.

Someone strong and fun to be around!

NO. NO. NO. NO.

Tons of friendly off-and-on rivals!

I would say 1-ish but maybe closer to X unless canon contradicts that.
16. How does he feel about sex? How important is it to him?
Eh. He likes fighting better, but he's not gonna say no when it comes along. Unless it's the choice between sex and a fight, in which case he's pretty much guaranteed to go for the fight.
17. What are his turn-ons? Turn-offs? Weird bedroom habits?
UHHHHH. Turn-on: power plays. Turn-off: desperation, neediness. Weird habits: likes it rough and occasionally bloody.
Beliefs
1. Do you know your character's astrological (zodiac of choice) sign? How well does he fit type?
Scorpio; pretty spot-on. Personality-wise, I'd headcanon tiger.
2. Is this character religious, spiritual, both, or neither? How important are these elements in his life?
I'd say he's vaguely spiritual, which is why he manages to get along so well with Hoozukimaru and also why he's a little superstitious. It's not very important, though.
3. Does this character have a personal code of morals or ethics? If so, how did that begin? What would it take to compromise it?
Yep. He'll never back away or run from a fight. I think he's just stubborn and waiting to die, so probably nothing's gonna compromise it (though if he gets his ass kicked and lives, he'd consider it lucky!)
4. How does he regard beliefs that differ from his? Is he tolerant, intolerant, curious, indifferent?
Mostly indifferent, but occasionally curious if it's really off-the-wall.
5. What prejudices does he hold? Are they irrational or does he have a good reason for them?
He dislikes cowards. And I dunno, it's just division policy.
Daily Life
1. What is the character's financial situation? Is he rich, poor, comfortable, in debt?
Pretty comfortable now. He barely spends any money.
2. What is his social status? Has this changed over time, and if so, how has the change affected him?
Middle. He used to live in one of the outermost Rukongai districts, I'd say that's a pretty big change. I'd say he takes less for granted than most people, like most of the outer Rukongai residents do.
3. Where does he live? House, apartment, trailer? Is his home his castle or just a place to crash? What condition is it in? Does he share it with others?
Apartment at GB! It's pretty much just a place to crash, and for his part he keeps it pretty clean. And he's sharing with Yumichika and a couple roommates.
4. Besides the basic necessities, what does he spend his money on?
Booze, clothes.
5. What does he do for a living? Is he good at it? Does he enjoy it, or would he rather be doing something else?
He's a shinigami. Psychopomp. You know. He likes it because it lets him stick with Kenpachi!
6. What are his interests or hobbies? How does he spend his free time?
Fighting, sleeping, drinking, gambling...
7. What are his eating habits? Does he skip meals, eat out, drink alcohol, avoid certain foods?
He doesn't always remember to eat and doesn't eat a lot when he does, but it's also one of the things he does to pass time when he's chilling with people. He does have reiatsu so he does need to eat, and when he's hungry he can scarf food down pretty fast. And yep, he drinks lots of alcohol.
