Fun With Fountain Pens, For a Given Value of Fun

I've been playing with fountain pens lately* and have gotten around to inks. Namely, the cleaning and refilling thereof.

I've mostly been using the Platinum Preppy because they're as cheap and disposable as they come with fountain pens... and really, really good. More comfortable than the other fountain pens I've picked up and the cartridge ink,

I turn my paper and anyone who thinks that's bad can fight me. My teachers in primary school despaired until they saw how ridiculously neat my writing was and then they let it go.

If I'd figured out how to tilt my paper as a kid that would've helped a lot. But no, all they taught me was how to grip the pen "properly" and push the nib across the paper.

Shockingly, this works even more poorly with a pencil than it would with a pen....
