I think that's how it goes for everyone. About 2 mo. before I left for my trip I started dating Robert - and then a week or so before realized he was an ass...but it sucked anyways. And it bothered me for the two months we were together...
Don't get too frustrated - just enjoy the time you have with him...and give me DETAILS!
