ZOMBIE DAY

Apr 15, 2009 09:42

My suitemate and I are nipping off to Barnes & Nobel after our last class this afternoon to, you guessed it, buy Pride and Prejudice and Zombies.
There is possibly a good day on the horizon. Except, possibly not, as there is so much writing to be done on so many things about which I would rather not give a flying fuck.

Anywho.
ZOMBIES.

I know! I am SO buying this, too! Glad I'm not the only one desperate enough for a Pride and Prejudice fix to consider the undead a good alternative storyline!

Hahaha, I actually rather view this is a an Undead fix, with P&P just being a fortunate and highly amusing setting xD

I hope you have better luck than I did getting a copy!

Yep, B&N sold out here too. As did Borders. So I ordered it.

And sadly, it is probably more anticipated by zombie lovers than by Pride and Prejudice lovers. The reason I'm getting it is that I'll shamelessly read anything with a P&P bent to it.

Here's hoping you get a copy!

Oh, don't get me wrong, I shamelessly ADORE P&P (though, Sense and Sensibility was fantastic as well), but I am rather speculative of any other "spin-off" this and that. I only went for this one because it was so BLATANTLY ridiculous, that I can't help but anticipate many a laughter and merry good fun times xD

And thanks! (we both put in orders as well; gotta wait a week)

It's rather become my life's mission in the last few months to read EVERY P&P spinoff there is. The best one so far has been the "Fitzwilliam Darcy: Gentleman" series by Pamela Aidan. Also, "Mr. Darcy's Daughters" by Elizabeth Aston is truly excellent. I'm reading "Lydia Bennet's Story" right now, which is a nice change from Lizzie and Darcy's POV.

If you want a GREAT howling laugh, try "Mr Darcy Takes a Wife" by Linda Berdoll. It's nothing but sex scenes--and fairly ridiculous ones at that. I couldn't make it all the way through the book-- it's THAT horrible.

Wonder how Lizzie fights the zombies? Maybe she keeps an axe in her reticule?

Hahaha to basically everything you said
I will totally flip through "Mr Darcy Takes a Wife" next time I'm in a book store -- that sounds hysterical.

Also, LOL @ Lizzie and the axe!

ps -- can we be looking forward to any WW fanfic updates soon???
