Day/Time: Day 39/I'mma go with early Free Time
Doctor had told him to go out of his room every day. It had been Zexion's goal for the past few days, and though he hadn't been able to get himself to go to the crowded cafeteria, wandering the less-frequented areas like outside and in the library seemed to be working. Most days he would rather just stay in his room with Spikette all day, where it was (hopefully?) safe.
Days like today. He tried to justify it by saying that he was just feeling lazy, and that he wasn't actually afraid to lurk outside of these walls. It seemed extra-cold today, so he could hardly bring himself to leave his covers of his warm bed to go to the nurses for his food. Now that it was past lunch, it was certainly looking like a lethargic day in bed. Staying curled up in his comforter with some books, a kitten, and tea nearby sounded like a good way to spend his time, anyway.
And besides, an important person said he was coming to visit him, so that was another reason to stay put. The slate-haired boy couldn't help but look up at the door every few minutes, anxious for Zack to come and visit as he said he would. Even if it had only been a few days, it had felt like ages away from his boyfriend. After all, he had sounded alright when they talked, but Zexion wanted to make sure he was fine now. The things Demyx had told him about why Zack was in a room alone were rather troubling.
The kitten seemed to enjoy jumping after the tassel on his bookmark, so Zexion trailed it along the bed next to him absently, more absorbed in his book for the moment. It was definitely worth it to have her around, even if he had to deal with Mugen's complaints. She always cheered him up, and it was good to have a reminder of Zack around.
