Monarchs on Milkweed

My mom has always been fascinated by Monarch butterflies. I'm not really sure why, I think there are so many more beautiful butterflies out there. Maybe it's their migration process that intrigues her, who knows?

Anyway, my milkweed is finally attracting them.

the butterflies are cute and the caterpillars are pretty cool looking - in a picture. I don't mess with the caterpillars in real life. ick

I love Monarchs, too; we lived near a eucalyptus grove in CA that was a migration stopover, and got used to seeing 25-ft clusters of them hanging from the trees. Spectacular!
