I could NOT get a picture that did this fabric and the room combo justice, mostly because when you take a picture of a window the light is on the wrong side of the camera. Oh well.. you get the idea :)

It's not even raining here yet, which makes me feel better, the radar makes it look like Ike is gobbling up even Austin. But it's not.. yet. The winds starts, the sky is gray, but I still have bets that we don't get a friggin drop ( Read more... ) -
Pretty day
Woke up to a beautiful morning; sunshine peeked through the trees from a pure blue sky. Sat down in my office and looked out my front window, and there she was again, enjoying the nectar from my blooming hosta.

It rained last night, for the first time in oh.. 30 days? 45 days? Each of these days topped out near 100 degrees, sometimes even higher. I've lost a LOT of plants, even plants that are native to Central Texas. I've been chopping things back, uprooting dead plants and watering like crazy so I don't lose anything else.
