They cut me down to 1 day next week.   Hahahahaha!  I'm supposed to pay rent, utilities, and now health care each month?  With what?

1. No, I can't just get another job.  They don't grow on trees.   Plus everywhere is cutting hours just like we are.  Plus I have disabilities that make it very difficult for me to work even this job.

Thank you.  Seriously.   It's funny, we sell this plaque at work that says "home is where when you have to go there, they have to take you in," and that saying has always annoyed me, because no.  Some of us don't have that.  Some of us, if we lost everything and were on the street,  we could go to family and have a place to stay, but some of us, like me, we don't have that.  No one to whom I'm related by blood is willing to admit that, and if it came down to it and I had nowhere else to go...I'd just have nowhere, period.  It's nice to hear that I do have a place, if I had nowhere else.

The plight of the low wage worker is so fucked up. I don't understand how managers think these are reasonable things to do to their employees - especially one whose been there as long as you have.
