I am seriously considering making this an art blog. This means art only posts, and making the blog available to search engines. My only consideration is that where will i cry/complain and talk about my life if i do? Basically this is a personal journal that has my personal problems all over it. I think using filters and tags is a good idea, to separate personal stuff from art stuff. That's how I do it in my LJ.

I've wrestled with this Exact issue. I've made my scrapbook photo albums public, I have a public welcome message & only art related posts are public. All else - marked "friends only".

I considered making a second blog but this one is on my email signature, my business card etc.

I know i looked at your blog and Profile before but i just looked at it again. That is a very cool and generous idea to put up photographs that anyone can use. Those are some lovely shots. I too have some photographs i have been taking so i might consider doing the same thing.

I have not really made doing art.. drawing and painting a priority or regular part of my life for years. Do you have any suggestions about getting back into it? Admittedly i am in a huge rut with things even after leaving the office job. I am hoping to take a class or 2 at the community college next semester in hopes of jolting myself into it again.

What works for you if you are not in the creative mood?

Ok thats a good idea then. Would save me from having yet another blog. But what about past posts? I guess i could download everything, wipe the blog clean and start anew..

Things like unrelated to art stuff such as polls and other things i find interesting can be on a filter i suppose. That would work.

Does anyone know how to put a button on the blog layout? Or can i have a say about what advertisements i have?

I have a paid account here so no advertisements. I believe you can batch edit your posts to change the privacy from "public" to "friends only"

Thank you so much for all the encouragement! When i was painting before, i could not stop.. i would just paint and paint so i do know i can be like that.. at least i was before i joined the 8:30 to 5 rat race ( ... )
