I kinda agree. It was weird to see those cars not have the poise and fluidity of motion as they negotiated the racing lines. It didn't feel too different from A1 GP quali that I saw late last night. I do think that things will improve over the season, though. The new system for drivers that Bernie is proposing is also good.

Driver championship should be decided on positions. Max P1s make a champion. In case of a tie, max P2s make a champion, and so on.
