I iz back. Two-year-old was two, but not too terribly two, and the sun, sea and sand entertained and wore her her and allowed mom and dad to take regular breaks. All in all a good time was had by all, and I had the time to go through this chapter last night and today for posting ^__^ THanks for all the reviews for part 19, I'll answer them during ( Read more... )

I wish I were more articulate, but my main comments seem to be FINALLY and ::keyboard smash from sheer hotness:: I love, love, loveloveLOVE their interactions; how they're both so tough and dutiful in different ways and so conscious of each other without giving way or quarter. Damn, I'm so happy you were able to post this week ( ... )

Bah, I keep doing this to you, sorry for adding another comment instead of putting my thoughts together in one package, but I forgot to mention how much I adore you for actively using and commenting on the inevitable culture clashes that would happen between the two characters. I greatly dislike fics that drop characters from "our world" into another world (not that I would describe this fic like that or put it even close to those fics) and then never address how someone with modern sensibilities would react to the every day filth, violence, and the like of the their new surrounding.

Yay, my smex scene rated a keyboard smash ^__^ I was wondering if I could get that kind of reaction with a somewhat non-traditional pr0n scene.

Ah yes thanks, that typo is now history.

I did NOT want to make Ryou a doormat, but neither did I want to make him tough in the traditional way. It led to the creation of an intriguing character, and one who can actually give Ghan the Whatever a run for his money.

I had too much fun playing with some of the culture clashes. Though in fact, if this were truly true to real life, there'd be so much culture clash that neither my characters nor the story would get anywhere very fast ^^; Our world and Darius's are so bloody far apart (and my own research is so severely limited by time...) I managed to put it out into the fic in acceptable doses and have fun with it too. Expect more culture clashes in the near future; now that Darius and Ryou are an item, and no longer stressed by the mechanics of mere survival, things are going to occasionally get convoluted for our poor castaway from the 21st

... SQUEEEEEEE.

*sparkledancelovesquee*

Ahem. Okay so the image of the horse falling and being all OMG WHEREISTHEFLOOR was hilarious. oh Ryou, you should do things like that (without thinking ahead at ALL) more often, it's hilarious. And then the discussion/argument, so full of lovely, lovely tension~

And then the sex, which was super hot, and very much summarized by this bit: That couldn't have lasted more than ten minutes. (...) Maybe it was more exact to say it'd lasted nearly three weeksOh *yeah ( ... )

Yeah, I think that orgasm lasted even longer than that for the readers *evil lechy smirk* How long since I started posting this ofic and we saw Darius in armor fighting trashbots with his sword ( ... )

bless you, that was *wonderful* God, see, now i was ok w/ the cliff hanger on 19, things were finally going in the right direction, but now! Now i've got as many questions as Ryou!! Where are they going to live? Is he going to live in a tent and travel with Darius? I mean that would make sense, but Ryou's gonna want to do more than play house wife for Darius that's for damn sure. I love that Darius gave him the bracer, i hope that Ryou gets that that is like getting a wedding ring. The sex was *amazingly* well written, and god, i can't wait for the next segment. I hope that you'll write the intermediate chapter sooner rather than later, i want to see them work things out b/c the back and forth between these two on just *normal * subjects is wonderful, the idea of them trying to talk about sex? *falls over laughing ( ... )

I'm sure that whatever Ryou chooses to do, he'd never stay a housewife for very long, if at all. But being Ryou, you just know that income, cost of living and taxable assets will come to his mind sooner or later (gotta love the guy)

Yeah, the chapter dealing with The Talk will be somewhat fraught...and hopefully funny too (most of the stuff I write turns out at least a bit funny, even the fairly dramatic stuff)

Dear lord hoooot

and then they had sex! Yay!

There was that age-thing that the Romans/Greeks do, which Ryou totally didn't notice.

hmm. Though the Japanese DO have the passive/active partner thing,as well as the age-directed sexing. Hmm.

I want moooore. more dammit!

And those poor soldiers Ryou left on the hilltop.

Yeah, I almost wish I'd made Ryou a Westener at times, just because there would be an even greater culture clash that way. Oh well ^_^

Yeah, those poor soldiers, who will eventually be grilled by Rand or Darius or whoever about their charge they were supposed to protect most carefully...maybe this is a good time to desert.

LOL Especially considering that their charge has this tendency to decide to go POOF like a puff of smoke.

DAMN that man!

I kinda like Ryou as a Japanese. Though there IS some culture clash, just probbaly in different ways.

Yeah, Mal Romance (TM) strikes again! I should brand it and sell it in bottles for those times we get assaulted by purple prose and poetry :P
