When I said I'd post this chapter this coming weekend, I rather forgot I was leaving on holiday...So I worked on this double time to get it out today. It's a little rough around the edges still, but hopefully enjoyable. Next chapter out...whenever I can swing it, hopefully this coming weekend, otherwise in two weeks. Mal over and out.

Love the way you describe the mind-magic thing, and Darius being all "bah of course i can carry you for a day or three, i'm just that manly", and Leyam! eeeee. I love that they see it like a curse (which, well, it is XD) and the "make sacrifices to the gods" is so fun, bwee culture clashes, and oh, love Darius' frustration with not understanding things. Mmmh. Delicious turmoil everywhere.

Of COURSE you're all hunkly and manly, Darius, that's why we love you *eyeroll* I'm glad the magic descriptions were readable, and not too heavy. It's hard to describe something that exists in higher planes...Vocabulary just is not up to it.

Oh gods, yes. This just keeps getting better and better. I think I squealed OUT LOUD at least five or six times reading this. And I am NOT a squealer under normal circumstances.

Poor Darius is going to be locked up in leyam's quarters to keep panic and rumors from spreading. And unfortunately, with the signals from his head getting screwed up, he cannot read or write at this point (not even in a way that RYou would find legible, Ryou only 'fixed' the verbal communication aspects)
